We weren't stinking fucking rich before we left, and we're not stinking fucking rich now. The main argument for leaving was that we'd be stinking fucking rich if we left, and the main argument is we'll be stinking fucking rich if we rejoin.
Did/Does anyone actually say that? In both scenarios? While I certainly saw "Singapore of Europe" bullshit during the Brexit debate, it was never any kind of official claim and could be dismissed as hyperbole by anyone with two braincells to rub together. The Brexiteers (the more lucid ones anyway) were more about freedom of opportunity than magic money trees; they just forgot we don't live in the 19th century anymore.

As for rejoin rhetoric, I've not seen anyone claim it would "make us stinking fucking rich", just that it would be better than the constant punching ourselves in the nuts that's going on now. There are no magic bullets to economic prosperity, but it doesn't mean you should perversely make things more difficult for yourself.

Frankly the main problem with any talk about rejoining in the EU is that the red lines the EU would have (joining the Euro, no rebates) would make it politically impossible anyway so it's not worth the effort.

Both arguments are lies.
And so was your rhetoric.

So yea, Trump just went full Adolf Hitler, much to Israel's applauds I would imagine.

So much for this being about the people of Iran.

They won't but the next government should audit the previous government and all of its connections to blatant insider trading.

It was funny when WTI crude went higher than Brent Crude, starting a few days ago.

They won't, because they're all complicit.

And that's exactly why they won't :p lol, Nancy Pelosi was insider trading on NVIDIA stock, it was even pointed out and no one did fuck all about it. The mask is no longer on for American legality - If you have the money, you can commit any crime in America and get away with it.

Insider Trading? Check
Mass Rape of underage kids? check (Epstein files)
Potential murder of under age kids? check (Epstein files)
And now War Crimes? check (because lets be honest, if they couldn't get Netanyahu into the ICC, they've got zero chance of getting Trump or any of his administration into it)

The fact they openly admit they won't prosecute people from the epstein files because it would "Collapse the system" just shows how corrupt America is, they aren't even trying to hide it anymore.

Iranian officials have cut off direct communication with U.S. government representatives after President Trump publicly threatened to “wipe out” Iran’s civilization if Tehran didn’t meet his demands by a self‑imposed deadline.

So not only is the cunt threatening war crimes, he's now also purposely sabotaging potential peace talks.

He doesn't want peace, if it means he loses face. Regardless of the human cost.

Congress really is proving its not fit for purpose. Even republicans at this point should be stepping across the isle and working with dems to get this fucker out of the oval office. republicans are mostly cunts but they cannot be stupid enough to think this ends well for America.

I seem to remember a bus with 350m/week drawn on the side and 90bn/year has just been bandied about. I find it difficult to equate that with me "lying".

I don't disagree with most of the rest of your assessment though. Just the bit where you think I'm willfully deceiving freddyshouse members. :(

350M a week for the NHS isn't "we're all going to be rich". And I don't remember anything from the leave campaign about 90bn in benefits, and I definitely have heard nothing about rejoining making us rich, so, on balance...

350m/week was exactly that - it was "we'll be financially much better off" - instead of sending all our cash to fund Europe - lets sent it to the NHS instead. It was a carefully crafted lie which effectively said "we'll be rolling in it - we hand over loads of our cash to the EU".

The 90bn in benefits is the "rejoin" campaign. I mean, we're not officially campaigning but just like people were scratching and scratching for fucking years, then got their opportunity when Cameron made his fucking ridiculous play - it's the same playbook.

It's not me inventing things here. That's the messaging.
