Interesting! So who has an IPhone then?!
Of course the question is, if it is true, should it be allowed?

Unless you use third party map software. On android you can get an app called CoPilot that stores the maps on your sd card.In any case, it kind of has to track you if you want any kind of gps support![]()
dude, without trying to make you paranoid, that stuff is mostly turned on by default on any mobile device. unscrupulous apps will record your fine GPS coords and send them where ever, and it's going to stay that way until legislation catches up.

Well if it's not Assisted then it's just GPS and that's data going one way - satellite to phone.^ you still need GPS and potentially assisted GPS to use that.
... its not using GPS, its using the cell triangulation so it can't be switched off...
"The iPhone system, by contrast, appears to record the data whether or not the user agrees. Apple declined to comment on why the file is created or whether it can be disabled."
nothing to hide, nothing to fear.

Anyone that suspects their partners/gf's will surely be checking their phones!!!!
You check my phone, next thing you check is your arse for doorprint.
Absolutely with you there; if my missus wants to use my phone then no problem. If she then turned round and said "yeah, I checked your entire message history to make sure you weren't fucking my best mate", then I don't see that as being very trusting.

Only problem is that doors open out in Finland
Euphemism?
), which ofcourse makes breaking and entering a b*tch. Not that it doesn't happen, but not much door kicking going on.
