Iphone apparently recording your location

Pff...in central London (where I live & work) you are recorded 300 times a day by CCTV anyway...but I guess its ok/accepted for the authorities to be able to monitor your movements, its a tad insidious having Google (Android) / Apple (iphone) knowing that information; or come to think of it, do you know that your phone isn't sending out to unknown sources the same info via any app you've downloaded that uses your loc?

One thing I cant figure is how you anonymise peoples location data since it would include their home a lot?

Apparently they aren't tracking you, just the stuff that is near to you. Like Wifi spots and phone masts.
