Sorry bud didn't realise you were in the industry. Can you do anything on the Orange upgrade deal? Think they said after 6 months I can move to EE and get a new phone, and I'm 8 months in now.

I'm actually with Bodhi on this one. Not pre-ordered as my contract isn't up until feb, but I'm pretty sure I'm going for the Z1. My S3 is alright, but the bloat from samsung is getting annoying now, and from what I've seen from a friend's xperia SP, Sony don't seem to be bloating quite so bad. Plus the walkman music player looks pretty nice.
My only decision to make is which network to go with. I'm with 3 at the moment, but the customer service is lousy, and outside of London, the signal is pretty naff. Best contender at the moment looks like O2, but I've got months to go, so I'll give it another look then.
As for the iphones, my honest thought was "meh". 64 bit? remains to be seen what use it can be. Fingerprint scanner? bit of a gimmick. not really anything else that stood out for me, and even those things didn't exactly create a "must buy" image in my mind.

As for the iphones, my honest thought was "meh". 64 bit? remains to be seen what use it can be. Fingerprint scanner? bit of a gimmick. not really anything else that stood out for me, and even those things didn't exactly create a "must buy" image in my mind.

You can say the same about every phone released in the last few years. It is an improved version of the last phone with a gimmick that no one needs. iOS 7 looks like it will be good and the phone is a definite improvement over my 4s but I would not upgrade a 5.

i didn't go for the HTC one or the S4 due to thier size, as for me they were too big, but no they have brought out mini versions. I think i would have gonr for the One rather than the 5 tbh

I can do orange and EE early upgrades aye, the way it works is you have an early upgrade fee - which you pay to the network through us and we look to give you the full amount back or a percentage if possible all dependent on the phone/packages you go for etc

I think I might upgrade to that too.

Many tech website reviews say the camera and battery life are a bit average though.

Slight change of plan for me dude, the P4U store I was dealing with came back and said it would be 450 quid to upgrade, so I may leave it a couple of months. Am gutted as some of the pics taken by the camera in it I've seen on the web look stunning, but I can cope with my Z for now. Definitely buying a SmartWatch though and maybe one of the QX lens cameras too.

As an aside, if you can check out the Z Ultra, I can guarantee you'll laugh when you first see it, it's bloody ENORMOUS. Still a sexy bit of hardware and it actually fit in my jeans pocket perfectly, bit too Trigger Happy Tv for me though.

yeh in terms of that early upgrade fee pal if you send me your full name your postcode and housenumber and your mobile number in a pm I'll check the exact fee and give you a rough idea of how much cash we could get back for you, if it is around £450 you would have to pay that upfront to orange however but we'd obviously see what we could do back (maybe the sale of your Z would fund it)

I think the nothing new is what apple are covering when they say "considered innovation can prevail or rampant technology". What exactly did you want to see on the thing? For me if the battery life is really improved 30% with the addition of the M7 processor that is a great bonus and could mean getting through the next day if I forget to charge it. And the fact that C Net are saying that is can run PS3 quality games is interesting.If iOS7 is like iOS6 it will be smooth and will not need a 8 core 4ghz processor to run so it does not need that wow factor "rampant technology". And I like the Finger Print Sensor I do have a lock code but it does piss me off when I unlock my phone 20 times a day but with everything on the phone there is no way I am turning it off. If it works and is fast then it is a great bit of "innovation" /PR*

But in all honesty this is pointless. People who like Android would still find a reason to hate an iPhone even if it cost £99 had an expandable screen, quad quad core processors, a titan graphics card and came with a 18 year old Californian aspiring actress to give you blowjobs on the hour every hour. It is the same reason I have a One sat in my desk at work that I have never used I have no doubt it is a great phone but it is of no interest to me.

*All of that being said. The 5c is far too expensive. It is last years phone in a colorful case and is priced far to closely to the 5s to make sense. And this shit with not letting you Pre Order a 5s just to get muppets to buy a 5c is crappy. It is like they know it is not great but want to force it on people. I also really wanted the 5s to come with Wireless Charging so I can just throw it on my bedside table to charge it.
