I am growing tired of my Nightshade and gonna bite the bullet and roll myself one of them Briton Slash Infil thingamajigs ...

My 1st question is on startpoints ...

1. 15 str/10 con
2. 15 str/10 qui
3. 10 str/con/qui

Also as on my shade im prolly gonna try and spec 44 cs with 50/51 composite main+offhand and see how that works out for me using cs styles ... anyone have a nice spec ?

And finally ... anyone have a nice Infil slash template that they can pm me ?o0

Tnx for all helpful replies <3

37-39envenom
37-39stealth
29DW
44CS
rest slash

as im sure you know envenom/stealth must have an effective level of 50

and i would go for the 3rd option...
but it depends how you feel...

15str=offensive
15qui=speed
15con=defensive
10/10/10=ballanced

with 0 qui at start you'll hit 250 hard cap easily, so no need for it, choose 15 str 10 con.

If you are going slash then 15str / 10con.

I'm currently slash specced so this is my spec atm -> 32 slash 50 cs 44 dw. Personally I think that having 47 envenom is good enough atleast for me that is. I hate slash abit but that is prolly cus i'm saraceen! :p

On a sidenote , I heard that you can SC legendary weaps so that is maybe a good reason to go back thrust specced for some people ;)

A MP will hit for 1% more than a 99%.

It has 32 (37 when overcharged) rather than 28 (33 when overcharged) imbue.

I'd say from that a 99% legendary is likely to be better than no legendary selection and then hitting against higher resists.

higher resist? tbh, peeps got about 25% melee resists(+3-5% on tanks), and about 50% elemental... even with the bonuses you get like chosing fire leggy vs. leather its 25% compared to 40%.. i stay cl weap+malice :m00:

You are forgetting that LGM Weapons debuff their own damage type and they also have a damage proc...

I didn't say always use them, just to have them available. Nice thing about Malice is you can swap it in and it'll proc straight away, without having to wait 15 minutes, so you don't have to stick with it as main weapon.

Not everyone runs with all elemental resists and high elemental resists on their outfit.

Think this is the 3rd time I post this without confirmation :p better look it up!

Didnt they change armor vulnrabilities to 5% tops? ie heat on leather is 5% bonus only...and resistances stayed the same.

herald ftw :p

Taken from 1.83 notes:

- Armor tables have been adjusted so that no armor will be more than 5% vulnerable to any given type of damage. All armor tables will retain resistances they currently have (this includes 10% resistances).

So screw resists with the few number of leggie users around :p

and when the bright sparks catch on (hi xd) you get hit for shit loads cos they're using a lw while all the fotm rollers are still using melee weapons :p

against hibs spirit LW is probably the best as hib bb resists are cold/heat/matter
specialy when fighting doorsteppers.

About the specs. I am 50slash/44cs/35sth/32env/23dw
And i'm doing CS styles mostly. Although many people say you only need 51 comp. weapon, I still spec 50 because I don't believe sh!t of it. Even if that dude says it is, I still notice some dmg diffrence in between.

Don't forget that thre is also 1 formula in all the damage calc's that says:

Your Damage = Base Damage * DMG Multiplier

--> Dmg Multiplier = Weaponskill / Enemie's AF

This means when you spec 50 in weapon, you get more "Weaponskill" and thus "Your Damage" goes up.

My tests let's me see I do ~40-50 dmg more when I spec 50 (+15) slash compared to 36 (+15).

Good luck

pfft

I ran some tests with papasan a while back. Controlled tests, me styling on him using the same slash weapons/sc/ra's each time.

Over a reasonable sample size (we tested about 7 dif specs, including some enervated and the effects of aug str etc) .. so 100-150 swings/spec which reduced the variance enough to make a decent comparison we found:

Specing 50slash and using slash styles gave an average mainhand dmg of ~170.

Specing 50slash 50cs and using garotte/AH gave an average mainhand dmg of ~176. Counting offhand swings too, assuming 18+19dw that ups the average dmg to 221.

With 50cs and 44+19dw (31+19slash) the average mainhand dmg was 170. Only slightly lower than the 50slash spec one. With offhands included, because of the higher dw, we get 237dmg.

To me thats a fairly good way of saying, spec high cs and high dw because your cs dmg will vary only a little compared to being 50slash but your offhand swings will increase your dps much more.

My 2 cents :)
