Most templates have +7-11 to all weapon skills anyway, so dropping slash/thrust will be hard.

So, i've been wondering about it for a while now.
And i figured that 50 thrust/slash and 50 critical strike would offer the highest damage output. (without the use of poison)

Afterall, 50 thrust/slash means higher Weapskill and more damage with thrust/slash weapons and styles. = You hit harder, and more often.

And 50 critical stike means more damage with crit styles.

PA, garote and hamstring etc.

Now we could easely lower crit to 39, because you don't always get PA in.
The only problem here, is that most people don't really use thrust or slash styles, not even after a successful PA chain. So your damage with crit styles would be lowered. However on the bright side, we have higher growth rate on crit styles than slash/thrust, so it might just even up.

With all this in mind, the spec i ended up with is:
39 Envenom, 39 Stealth, 39 Critical Strike, 13 Dual Wield, and 50 Thrust/Slash. At Realm Rank 1 ofc.

At higher realm ranks, the player should lower envenom and maybe stealth to get more DW instead.

Now, i know that this is the spec most people already use, and its with good reason.

I just wanna look at other possibilities.

When I played Arauddry I played with the following spec

30 Stealth
30 Slash
50 Crit
47 Dual
29 Venom

I have also tried

30 Stealth
50 Slash
50 Crit
25 Dual
29 Venom

I have tried many different specs and the best by far for damage output would be the first spec. I really wouldn't go the way you are going because the differences between the 2 are minimal. The only thing you would notice is that offhand hitting alot less if you chose the spec you think is best.

ofcourse we get less spec points than infil however b4 now i was


36 s 36 v 39 p 44 cs rest CD

and they both worked really well however i've bin toying with the idea of respeccing for a bit now so help me too mates ;<

When you try to apply poisons from the q-bar they don't always go on the weapon you want, i used to know a sequence to put them in the q-bar that would apply them to the right weapon all the time, but i've forgotten it, anyone know if it's still like that and what the combination is?
