And now our right-wing party is doing its best to sell out national assets, it's a wonderful world.
The Socialists started, Telia? how they fucked over the stock buyers on that one. And the rules they have set up for Vattenfall, result, we gain nothing as a country when Vattefall makes huge profits since thoose money the goverment cant touch. And how when Vattenfall set up some stuff in Germany, if that breaks down we as a country is liable to pay the damages that can pretty much bankrubt us, all thanks to the bloody GP goverment we had.

It's just tragic that we allow our governments to privatize profits and have the risk be all on the taxpayers. I know S started it, but M is continuing along at a breakneck pace with the apothecaries, and probably System Bolaget(state monopoly on hard liquor for non Swede's) is next. Despite them turning a profit, we're selling them off for a pittance when we sorely need money - and what's the result? Higher prices for customers, lower wages for the workers and worse public services because the profits aren't going to improve the businesses, or to the state but rather to the pockets of investment bankers that don't even tax in the country.

Fuck, our schools are a perfect example. They've made it a business, because surely education needs to turn a profit? It's a fucked up mindset.

edit: the worst part is, there's nothing we can really do. The left has pretty much collapsed entirely all over the world with a few exceptions(mostly in South America). I don't really know why and can only guess, maybe it's because of the control capital has over media or maybe it's because leftists gave up following the collapse of the Soviet Union when communism failed and capitalism won. Never mind that it wasn't communism at all or even close to it in the end, and that capitalism has failed over and over and over but we keep rescuing it. The left simply put isn't putting up a fight, and those parties that are supposedly representing the people are just as eager to sell out to big corporations as their right-wing counterparts. It's even more tragic when you have people voting explicitly against their interests because 'Fuck You, Got Mine'.

Have you checked prices on meds since Apoteket was sold? Thanks to this i save around 7000 sek a year thanks to a cheaper but same medication. And the price of your normal allergy med can vary between 5-10 SEK depending on what store you go to.

The prices here went up, as you'd expect when there's no competition. I'm sure people in Stockholm and so on are reaping the benefits, but everyone else is getting fucked.

Well the Big Cities have been fucked for alot of years thanks to the Robin Hood tax we have, so some people can live 12 hours from closest neighbour cause they dont want to move.

Ah, yes. The city vs. country argument, never mind that people aren't moving in Sweden because there's nobody actually building any buildings to live in and there's 1-2 year queues for most rent controlled apartments. I mean, most of my school friends do about 3½ hours of commuting to work everyday and I doubt it's because they enjoy trains. Then you have to consider all the farming, and the infrastructure to support that - something you do not want to abandon with rising oil prices(because guess where most of your food is going to come from in the future, hint: it's not France or wherever).

edit: But this is slightly off-topic, in related news: the JEC in Spain is trying to ban protests, Clicky
