Oh, didn't you like that I agreed with you over benefits @Raven? Retrospective facepalming?

They kick people off benefits if they don't look for work. Lets kick fatties off drugs if they CBA losing weight...

Sure ok. But what about those fatties that contribute thousands in tax a year? Do we treat the daytime sofa fatties more harshly?

I dunno. Personally, I think fatness is the issue so I wouldn't split it down economic lines myself.

How about diabetics who happen to be fat? Kick them off their meds right? Only fair to other med users. Oh right, they'll die. Oh well.

How about mood medication? What's a few suicides to save tax payers bucks afterall, they have it coming for being fat and sad.

Fuck 'em. More money to go around for people who give a shit about their own health.

I'm done campaigning for social justice on FH. Every time I speak out on the subject of systemic change I get roasted by every right wing nutter on this place. I can't beat you - so I'm joining you.

Pull the meds from anyone with an even slightly above average BMI. Pull the benefits if you don't take a minimum-wage job within 3 weeks. As long as nobody touches my reasonably-easily earned then why should I give a fuck?

Yeah and runners who wreck their joints ..dancers who end up riddled with arthritis..the list goes on and where do you stop...free healthcare for all...the problem is the millions who have fuk all wrong with them and cost the NHS billions investigating every creak.
The NHS needs an excess charge of 50 quid..that would save 20 billion on the spot.

There are certainly cracks appearing in Scouses socialist soap box.

You could add cyclist to the list too

Until you go hurtling out of a junction in front of an articulated lorry :)

Clean up crews
Police call out
Wasting an ambulances time
Psychological help for the driver

Darwin says I should have better eyes. Leave my jam-like carcass on the street as an example to other incompetents.

Oh that's just priceless coming from the man who said Moriath should go die since he doesn't care for people :p

Let people with depression and genetical problems die, yeap, good for you Mister Sympathy.

I was wrong. Fuck everyone. I'm alright Jack.

That's the official FH line, isn't it? I'm sticking with it. Falling into line. People complain about me arguing too much? Not any more :)

Aye, it's becoming a National Socialist soapbox ;-)

</Godwin mode off>

I do agree the overweight put a strain on the NHS, however so do drunk people on a Saturday night. Probably smokers too, but at least we help fund looking after the other lot. And we're not even allowed out the front of the building for a crafty smoke any more. What a load of bollocks!

Your so funny you cuss down those who contribute to the system at the same time as those who take. So don't you just like the system?

Then when you get caught in the middle you throw your toys and say you cba.

So say for example I earn 70k a year of which around 25k is taxed maybe more.

My medical costs for prescriptions are 7k a year.

I am 5 stone over my pre ordained ideal.

I should have access to any thing on the nhs?

Nuts should. Buy me a bike and I canhave drugs when I lose five stone?

I should be left to rot and deal with myself?

And what about the smokers ? Or those who have the cancer gene for breast or cervical cancers? Or the anorexics ?

Has anyone determined how much an anorexic costs the nhs?

So from my point of view of everyone being essentially worthless. Unless you can contribute to society in a positive way you shouldn't get help.

From yours every should get help cause they might give the break through for aids or Ebola or the next big thing. Except if they are fat.

Now go screw yourself you magnanimous twat.

Stop being such a bigot and either let every one be who and how they want to. Or be nazi dictator who tells everyone how it should be and if you don't agree your a retard.

For those who care I take ten pills a day. None of which are related to my weight. But I wouldn't be able to have them if gob shite was in charge. Unless I conformed to his ideal.

Certainly. We need more of this. On a population-wide scale.

That's a step too far tho:
1) You don't damage your joints cycling, you lose weight and you're at vastly reduced chances of costing the NHS loadsamoney.
2) It'd affect me. And fuck that.

i have a friend who broke his collar bone cycling when he came off. Costing the nhs money. He wouldn't have done that had he been sat at home. Neither would any of the other cyclists that have accidents.

Or do they just affect you. Or the emergency crews the hospitals that put you back together. The insurances you call on.

It's all rose tinted for your cause.

France has that too iirc. They are often quoted as having the best health service in the world.

But they also have a policy of pumping more and more money into the public services to solve a problem, which is why they are on the brink of being fucked.

Oh trust me, it's one of the very very few things the French do better than us, I'd agree their country is utterly fucked financially, but it isn't due to their health service (which is a mix of private insurance and state provision). It's this wonderful idea they had of taxing everyone to oblivion, so most of the people who contributed a lot of tax previously have had enough and moved to London from what I can tell.

Whilst Scandinavia can be proof that Socialism can work (even if I'd argue in many ways, Scandinavia is very very capitalist), France is proof that it can also go very very badly.

I agree and back on topic... I am generally a happy person but when everything gets dark (this year has been the worst in years) it takes forever for me to claw my way out.... I am just seeing life in a brighter way for the first time since August... Partially i am not helped by being sensitive to others moods and can become really really paranoid..., :(

I'm sure you are doing well Yoni. So hard....Especially the first Christmas. It annoys the hell out of me when people niggle at each other and sweat the small stuff. Life is too short for niggly shit.

Talked to him today, They've ruled out depression (at least in the classic sense) but he is showing some signs of Bipolar according to his shrink.
if it's enough for a diagnosis he dosent know yet. I've also resived his blessing to share, so will keep any interested parties updated :)
