I started reading and I got bored.

Deebs - Do whatever you both feel would make you both / her happiest and I'm sure you'll have a great time :)

N.b. Fabric is sweet.

That's a good point, everyone will just assume she's your money-grabbing younger girlfriend, assuming she hasn't been cursed with deeb's giant hook.

He's got a hook as well as a big nose??!

Sounds fine to me.

Not all 18ths should end with your mates figuring out how to get you home as you throw up onto your shoes in an ally.

That is what every single birthday for the rest of you life is for :D

dude, I think it's smashing that she elected to spend a day with you. who cares about anything else?

as t o your behavioral comment, someone said that it might be wise to fade in to the background at some point. that may be wise. I dunno: we've only been out on a light bender together and (I was) too wrecked the day after to go dancing in Breda, but I can guess that a night in the bright lights with you would be smashing fun. On the other hand, you have indicated that you would be a right cunt if something happened you'd not condone.

why not compromise? you know, go for a smashing dinner with the daughter on one day, and send her off for some dancing another day, springing for free tickets or perhaps some VIP tickets or something if they do that with maybe a couple of her best mates? Let them go off for their fun, and be happy in yourself that you raised a good couple of kids.

For my 18th, I went for a meal with the fam-a-lam, then went town afterwards with my mates... - I'm not sure why she'd want her old man there.. Even if she is really close to you etc, it wouldn't be advisable for you to go with her, because she may get funny looks in the future, being the one that 'brings daddy to clubs with her' - but hey, it's London, - it's bigger, it's probably alot more socially acceptable :)

Just got to Fabric T. Like I said on IRC, do some bits during the first day, go fabric in the evening, then take her up oxford street the next day (incentive for neither of you to get a hangover) or go to a spa or something.

I do hope Deebs is going to ignore you lot, and tell us what he decides to do and how it goes.

Wow, what a day. Had the most fantastic time with my daughter. Went into London, did shopping, had a nice meal and then, eventually, she got asked for ID as she bought me and herself a drink. One proud Dad here right now, beaming like a goodun. The thing I like most is that she had the choice of going out with her friends and me or going out with just me, she chose the latter as she can go out with her friends anytime, today was special and she wanted to, in her words, spend "it with her Daddy".

Nice one Tony. Glad you had a cracking day
Cheers Syd, loved it. Was one chuffed Dad walking around London today with my beautiful daughter on my arm along with all her badges :)

Btw, get SWTOR and find Woolley... (Let's take this to another thread).
