Both my kids have always said I am a young person in how I act. The problem I face is how I act toward my daughter. If she wants to go clubbing fine, the problem is she wants to me go with her. I will never ever restrict my children in anything as that is not me. All I want is that they are both safe.

I think people are finding it a strange concept as typically turning 18 is a landmark birthday and signifies your entry into adulthood and all of the freedoms that brings, spending it with a parent rather than peers sounds unusual for most people because it goes against the norm of society (where most people want to celebrate this freedom with friends and without any authority figure). The setting of a club just accentuates the unusual nature of the request as it's not seen as a place to spend time with a parent regardless of occasion.

That said, if you don't feel uncomfortable taking your daughter to a club on her 18th birthday and that's what she wants then just go for it.
