Anyone here done one?or know what items would be best to use? i am having trouble finding decent ones, i do not wish to spend too much time on it, only want about 2-3 artifacts, so what would be best to use?

If you want to get an "ubar" spellcraft on an icewizard, try to get as much resist pierce as posssible - 5% from eriny's, 5% from jacina's sash, 5% from cloudsong charge and 5% from traldor's charge, or 5% from moon staff. Capped %damage and %cast speed is nice too - power% always nice, but you obviously have to prioritize a little.

Easy cheezy template = Moon belt+moonstaff or Traldors + Cloudsong + Nailah's Robes. Will give you 10% cast speed, 4% dmg 4% range and 5-15% spell pierce or something.

Random quick template I made.

I assumed :
- You really want to spend as little time as possible and you are not willing to spend 30p+ on scrolls etc.
- You still want decent ToA stats (as an ice wiz, cast speed, some resist pierce, and bit of stat boosting, well, standard caster stuff)
- You're going to RvR with your wiz

So I excluded templates with jacinah's sash, eriny's, tartaros, nailah's robe etc :)

Items in order of appearance :

- Crown of Zahur for some pierce resist and maybe powershield, levels off RvR, so that's so much less to farm.
- Traldors Oracle, 5% cast speed, 5% resist pierce, another 5% resist pierce/dmg on active. Easy to get, levels fast.
- Ancient Copper Necklace
- Mantle of Desert Shadow for bit of dex boost, drops off band of star encounter, seen several of those on CMs. Got one if you want.
- Sun Ruby - Lost in the Sands of Time quest, 4% cast speed
- Woven Hair of Malamis, drops off Malice, dex & acuity cap increase
- Ring of the Seventh ??? - Seven Coins quest,
- Crocodile's Tears Ring - pretty nice if you consider the 5% dmg decrease, easy to get, levels relatively fast.
- Ceremonial Bracer, Mesmeration / Stun shield, levels off RvR, not hard to get, dex cap increase
- Ebon Hide Bracer - Parade for a Paladin quest

No uber drop, still a bit of artifact hunting & levelling though, Ceremonial bracer is a bugger to level but that's made easy next patch (or maybe on live actually ?). May have to swap 9% spirit or something for 9% slash until ceremonial bracer / zahur are levelled some still, or else hello low slash resists until then.

Just for the fun of it, lets say someone does have money to spend...

Make a suit with 5% active resist piercing from either Zahur / Cloudsong, 5% active resist piercing from Traldor, and 15% passive resist piercing (preferably from Jacina/Erinys/Traldor) and 4% damage from GoV / Nailah (Preferably GoV), 10% speed/range and as much power/+skill/+cap as you can get... And, cap resists + stats... For a 'perfect' suit, get +11 cold and as much +fire as possible...

Anything goes, the most exotic items you can think off...

Currently I've got +10 int/dex, 15% resist piercing (passive), 10% active (cloudsong/traldor), 4% damage, cap'd resist/stats/cold magic, +7 fire, 10% power, 10% speed, 14% (bah) range... Think that was it, oh and +11 buffs, 7 more AF for teh winz ;) (only 82 int though, instead of 85)

Top that and get a cookie ;)
(would suck though, as I'd have to remake my SC suit ;))

All resists 24% or more, matter could slide to 20% ish, but not much lower... (we run into shammy's a lot and they do use their dot an awefull lot to kill me when bodyguarded)

Apparently you can drop cloudsong for the ML9 feathered cloak and get Zahur crown, but I think I'd be down 5% casting speed, which can be gotten else where ofc, but where ;)

Dunno, I play Cabalist so I don't really need that much resist piercing - it's atleast not worth sacrificing %damage to get.

Also, RvR'ing for first time with my Cabalist with my ToA suit had me realize how insanely useful the wolf morph on Scalars were. I think any caster would really treasure being able to morph into something less revealing where opponent can't see animation of spell casting and such.

If thats true (as said, cant test this myself), then you'd have as much gain from resist piercing as I do... More so then 2% extra damage...

Hm...

1) Resist pierece is bugged for DOT's and Debuff's atm, so it actually makes my body debuff last shorter time (apparently, havent tested personally).
2) You can't debuff below -5%, which means 50% debuff + 10-15% resist pierce is always enough, unless facing BaoD.
3) Yes, % damage is affected by resists, but when the resists are removed with debuff, it doesnt matter.

Once you hit for cap, you gain 0% damage though, whereas you can raise your cap with tartaros/nailah and nuke those mids even harder :)

Granted, hibs are more tricky with their 50% resist to body.

I was testing the debuff some time ago (wanted to check wether the ToA debuff bonus was working on resist debuff), and was surprised to find out debuffing someone with 26% item resists was taking him down to -5% (I was expecting -10%), and just assumed it was the way Mythic changed the resist debuff to only be half as effective on anything but resist buffs, ie, the 50% (62% really, 125% on spec spell) debuff ends up debuffing 31% resists. Guess I'll have to test again.

Nailah / Tartaros dont increase cap, unlike MoM... At least I've not seen a cap increase with the 4% from GoV...

And Mythic (as far as I know) did not put in a hard-cap on how much you can debuff for... I dont know if resist piercing lowers the time that a debuff lasts though...

The way the resists got changed is that you only get 50% debuff if the person your debuffing is buffed (e.g. has resist buffs), wouldnt be supprised (knowing mythic) that this is bugged though... End result is only 30ish % debuff instead of 50%...

I would like to see some tests with someone that has 15% passive and 10% active and then debuff someone and then nuke that person... Nuking is important, as bonuses will not show the amount removed by resist piercing...

With 20% (10% passive, 10% active, still need jacina @ 10) I hit for 400ish or so, I like it, I like it a lot ;)

Digged a bit, and here's parts of 1.65 patch :

Cabalist/Enchanter/Runemaster changes

- The Diminish Immunities line in the Cabalist Vivification list, the Vex of Cold line in the Runemaster Runes of Destruction list, and the Amplify Heat
line in the Enchanter Empowering line have been reduced from 15 to 8 seconds. These three lines debuff damage types the caster herself can cast, which makes the leeway provided by the increased "teamwork" duration the other resist debuff lines have unnecessary.

- Previously, resist debuffs counted double versus resist buffs. This has been changed to make them count normally against item, buff, and racial resists.
The second bit is complete non sense, that's for sure.

My guess is Mythic used their sledgehammer and made debuffs half as effective, called it a fix, and made up that confusing thing in the patch note.

That would make the best debuff 31%, which is consistant with the -5% end result on a target with 26% item resists.

Oh, btw, Tartaros and Nailah's trully increase your cap, and even better, the bonus is cumulative with Mastery of Magery from what I gathered. Cap record on a baseline 179 nuke with MoM5, tartaros, nailah's and active 5% from traldor is 705 = 179*3*1.15 (MoM) * 1.14 (Artifacts).
