Im sick of sat on my ass, smoking loads of weed which will eventually fuck my head up.

The only chocie i have, due to having no decent qualifications and also being thick as fuck.

Navy.

Does anybody have any experience with the navy?

lol no you have lots of other choices...now put that spliff out and get off your arse and go do sommit!

seriously there are loads of things you can do, firstly though if not having qualifications is bugging you then go and get some i got my gcse's free from the local college, get your self down to yours and find out what free courses they have that can help you and then i got my a lvls which wasn't free but was about £120 and if you have money to spend on weed you can bloody well go buy an a lvl or two.

also there are volunteering opportunities available to anyone who can scrape up the air fair (again, does your weed come free? no? well then don't complain about being broke lol) which lead to employment or at least give you something spanking to go on your CV and that will lead to more options.

tbh you could join the services but with the attitude youve just shown (can't do anything else might aswell join the navy) they probably won't want you its a bit like asking a gal to dance and being told to sod off then turning to her mate and saying "go on then, you'll do" it won't work 99% of the time and the time it does work you won't like where it gets you.

no it is easy its just getting your head round it thats the hard bit lol. all you have to do is find a place to live and move and then you're done but tbh are your prospects going to improve just because you relocate? if so then do it if not then don't bother...go and do something with your life before you die and its too late and then you'd be really pissed off that you wasted it.

like yoda said: no try, either do or do not.

Laddey, u just gotta think are there opportunities available for u in Preston, if the answer is Yes, then no point in going thru the hassle of moving away yet, take up the opportunities that present themselves as Ez said take up courses at local colleges etc.

If no then you might have to move somewhere new, but I'm sure it'll be most likely the first case!

My qualifications consist of

Maths - D D
English - U U
Science - F F
Music - G
Graphics - B

I then went to college for 9 months.

Got a national diploma in some shit, which seems fairly pointless since i cant even remember what they where.

With the navy though, you will always have work. I've had fucking loads of jobs and the last one, which was really good i got made redundant from. Which was a fucking kick right in the bollocks.

If i joined the navy, i could leave all the scum from Preston behind, my name would just die from this area which is what i want.

I'd be respected within my family!! I mean, who the fuck respects a stoner who sits on his ass playing COD5? Nobody.

You also get to see the world, i've been on holiday once in my life and it was to spain when i was like 10, im now 19!!

Yeah, be a police man. But no that won't work anymore since my brother has convictions.

Be the landlord of a local pub.

Be a plasterer

Loads i guess, but navy sounds the most appealing to me. I wanna get away from Depreston and all the rifraff on it. I wanna see different countries, meet new people. Actually feel good abotu myself

I've heard that in the Navy, you can sail the seven seas, and in the Navy, they can put your mind at ease.

sounds like just what you are looking for tbh

I'm sorry Laddey :(

P.S - Why not try to boost them GCSEs by re-taking or taking up some a-levels? Or do the IB? Get some sensible grades; head off to uni; get a degree and the world opens up to you a lot more.

Isnt Uni expensive as shit in England? and i know you can get loans but speaking from when i got a loan they wanted some sort of insureance (i know theres a word for this but i cant for the life of me think what it is) incase you dont pay? like i was lucky enough that my parents signed off saying they would cover me if i didnt pay.....dont most loans work this way? not everyone has someone backing them...

The Navy is a great option Laddey. you really will see the world and your life will be in alot less danger than the Army/Airforce boys to boot. Use the time to learn a new trade and get 5 years under your belt, once you hit civvy street again you will be very employable as most companies like hiring ex-service members because they are disciplined and dedicated.

One thing is for sure, you need to quit smoking that shit and get out of Preston bud, otherwise you will be 30 before you know it and have fuck all to look forward to.

That doesn't make you thick, it just makes you good at more practical challenges and if you stopped smoking that shit you might actually be clued up enough to learn some important skills that will keep you employed for the rest of your life.

I've got a friend (yey!) in the Navy who joined as soon as she left school and she still loves it 10 years on. She's been abroad 70% of the time too. I'd say it was a good option if you don't mind the discipline =)
