Sweet, sweet irony. :)
By contrast I have been at my current job for over 4 years now. Unfortunately I'm at the stage where I am not really doing anything new and am just going through the motions every day. :(

With you there Durzel. I think I have been through the motions at least 5 times now. I wonder if you can die of boredom at work ? Cant wait till after the crimbo Holidays when I hand my notice in

Shortest Job was 3 hours working for an insurance company. It was sold as this fantastic job working in the Finance sector. In reality it was collecting insurance money off pensioners. First women I got to "Not another new one" Second woman "Oh your new I hope you dont get shot"

:eek2:

Thinking the old girl was a bit senile i dismissed it. When I got back to the office I asked the gaffer what happened to the guy who had the job before me. Sure enough he had been shot for the insurance money he was carrying. The third in five months. That put an end to that sorry ass adventure

i tells ya, ignore is daft. there's always that temptation to read the ignorees post and invariably you do anyway. It'd be much better if , whne you clicked ignore the subject just died.

SARS living in the dark ages man, I'm an enlightened lighthearted lightweight hippyster these days. A valuable member of the team. Choosing to ignore legitimate opinion because it may question your ideals or views is the act of a stupid person.

I wonder how many Forum members just post in order to gain kudos from other forum members, to prove they're an upstanding citizen etc. 'your behaviour is abhorrent, i always behave in a so and so manner, it's only polite innit'

Hello. I'm a grammar facist, yet I type like the above.

Respect me I'm cool!

Despite the fact that I want to cut out maxi's heart and feed it to him, I can't help but think you guys are being a little unfair - I don't think he's a troll, just arrogant. There is a difference.

Not trolling, seriously. I was just pointing out the hypcorisy of SARS. In a kinda lighthearted manner.

Typos, bad grammar, poor punctuation are all expected here, it's an online forum and marks out of ten aren't given for writing reams of flowing prose.

But confusing the name of a respected forum member - 'Sar' with 'SARS' - an acronym for Sever Acute Respiratory Syndrome, a flu-like illness which kills, is frankly beyond retarded.

The apostrophe is your friend ;) holding down shift or caps lock for 'emphasis' just makes you look like a wannabe 'l33t' berk.

I'd like to give posts marks for literacy. Then we could filter out the proper nonsense.

Wow, now no capitals at all, did my comment drive you into "gimp frenzy" whereby you levered the shift and caps-lock keys from your keyboard with a blunt metal instrument? Guess it has to beat the random capitalisation of words, which have thus far only served to futher obfuscate the little point (if any) of your posts.

Anyhow, keep posting plebtard, I'm bored and your petty attempts to criticise and poke at the likes of Sar amuse me...

Wow, Xavier clearly wins, he knows what obfuscate means!

Altho why the fuck he can't say confuse or blur like everyone else is beyond me. I mean big words are all well and good (I know a few myself, such as fannyflaps. See, 9 letters = big word!), but when there's an easier way of saying something (like, with a shorter word), then go with that. Less people will think you're a cock who's just trying to look clevar.

The definition was solely for Maxi, matey - he seems to unaware of so much I thought I'd make life easier for him when asking him to fuck off...

WELL WHY NOT JUST SAY CONFUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE THEN?

You're only making more work for yourself (adding in links etc), and that really isn't the mark of an intelligent guy....

Hey there children!

Back on topic. I actually got a reply today (huzzah), and apparantly I haven't been shortlisted for the job because i'm "overqualified". What the fuck?

Does this happen alot? And am I more likely to get an office pleb job if I leave the bit about a degree out of my CV? I'm confused :(

Uhm, you do realise that it was Sar who was complaining about grammar, punctuation etc. Maxi was merely complaining about the complainer.

Way to get the wrong end of the stick there, bud!

Not complaining as such, just pointing out that it's much better to read a thread if people write in coherent English. Not some hard-to-slog through drivel that they haven't made much effort in.

If they can't be arsed putting the effort in to write it properly, then why should I put in the effort to read it?

And no, when I have someone on ignore (and it's a very exclusive list, believe me), they are on there for a reason - so I don't have to read their posts. I tend to read posts before looking to see who wrote them.

Well, regardless - my point was that maxi was taking issue with that (for whatever reason) and not being a grammar nazi like Xavier was suggesting.

When maxi or bodhi posts its like putting on a pair of comfy slippers, you just know what its going to be like. Aahh.

Watching those 2 argue is like watching two mongos in a sandpit fighting over an ice cream btw. :fluffle: ;)

Well, it's like speaking to one of two people:

One who is rambling like a drunk and slurring his speech to the point where they're virtually unintelligible, or the second who speaks english that is understandable.
