How do I make a GIF animation??

Any help here? not sure i have the programs or anything... I have windows Pro if it has a Gif maker. Thanks much

This should probably be in WebDev but the best programs to use are either ImageReady (comes with Photoshop v6+) or Animation Shop which comes with Paint Shop Pro.

Ah well, the MS gifmaker is wierd as hell and I can't get it to show the middle images... just races between first and last... so I'll just stick with the lame lil coffee cup up i9n the corner of my gif. still a funny animation

Years ago I used a tiny program from Alchemy, Mindworks, GIF Construction Kit. You can download an evaluation copy - but I'm sure there's freeware shit abound.
