Let me try to put this in laymens terms for you:

Swear words, like shit fuck cunt piss bastard etc are generally accepted here (and therefore not asterixed out) because we're mainly adults who don't find that sort of thing terribly offensive. It's a part of everyday vernacular for most of us.

Complete insensitivity on the other hand is offensive, and until the day where you've matured enough to grasp the reasoning behind other peoples distaste at your earlier post then there's little point in trying to explain it to you.

I oversimplified it only because most of you "adults" (I would estimate that ~20% of local posters are adults)simply wont understand. You have an ellusion that what you find offensive everyone else does and the other way round. I find personal comments just as offensive as general swear words - I dont find them offensive at all. Thats why I dont object the deletion of some posts - because sensitive muppets' feeling are hurt. Kindly cock off with your comments or I will be hurt and I will complain!

I'm 18, I didnt put that into my profile not because I didnt feel it is anybody's business but because I prefer to save time filling countless forms and dont put anything unless its required or unless I particularly want it to be there.

I dont really see how respect is relevant here.

I think the majority of regular posters are in fact 'adult' in legal terms, mentally is a different story. However you will find the great majority tread a tightrope of hypocrisy where being offensive to others is mitigated as long as you put a tongue out smiley, however, if you are deemed as being insensitive to people that they have absolutely no contact with, nor ever will then it is considered wrong.

Try to be sensible, don't flagrantly antagonise people for no reason, in the case of this thread, give it up, you won't "win", none of the people against you will even begin to see your point and it'll degenerate into stupidly long posts with smart arses picking holes into individual sentences. In the long run, it's just not worth it, and by restraining yourself now you'll be looked on favourably by the few people on the boards who's opinions should actually be respected.
