Hibs overpowered the truth?

hib is possibly the least played realm so less people to share out rp's with...and the top 5 includes the Ranger and the Blademaster - hardly overpowered classes ^^

Edit: Ranger at no2 - enchanter at no17 - by your logic the enchanter is underpowered in comparison to the UBER ranger...

Bm's aren't overpowered at all, no be able to have an effective BM he has to be specced perfect, with all the right stats in the right places.

Without Dodger 3 and MoP 2 i wouldn't be half as effective, I even changed to pierce to get the stun style off of evade and am just getting into playing it properly again. Still believe somin needs to be done about that CD line though... but what the hell.

it's easy, those that play a BM play them all the way to 50, gain RPs, but there are a million of lvl 5 enchanters with no RPs who take down the average..

Bah BMs isnt underpowered.. cant understand why all say that, tho much have to do how u play ure class in this case a BM. Ask the FG mids I and 2 more BMs + druid killed today :p

its not a case of Bm's being underpowered widow, cause there not at all :p There just not overpowered, but they need CD to be fixed with better styles.. higher bleeds or somin.. i meen.. which Bm uses CD styles over there base weapon styles! My pierce styles are better then those of CD. CD is a specialized chain, you should have the kind of styles that CD or LW have. All im saying

check that out and you will see which is most overpowered simply by who plays it the most

the excal and prydwen ones r false BECAUSE the chars in there r from day 1, before anyone knew a sorc could mezz or a healer would heal (ok bad example) but it was when everyone reached lvl 50 and few patches in everyone realised who was the most overpowerful etc...90% of peeps aint gonna delete a lvl 50 just to play the overpowered and have to lvl again...

anyway, back to the point and note where all of albion classes are...first one starts at top13 in popularity, next at 18th....in fact there are only 5 classes in both hibernia and midgard put together that r below albions second most popular...the hunter (known to be poor), the nightshade (notice a pattern?), the ranger (could it get any worse), the thane (mids best anti mezzer...err....for the other realms) and the blademaster (pick any other class that uses a weapon and it will beat em)

Now for some1 to say there isn't an imbalance now is just folly...

Personally i believe its that 99% (i know it not really that but im gonnay say it anyway... of the daoc population play mid/alb nd not hib... soo... we play hib charsin pvp etc... looking at the top 10...

1 Enchanter - some would say overpowerd.. seriously lacks in CC though
2 Skald - speed lots of hps, nice but far from overpower is a skald
3. Healer is the most uber CC class out there... with insta aoe mezz/stun and castable on top... mana rege and heals.buffs... but NO offencive capabilitys really... so i wouldnt consider it overpowerd as a class.
4 Berserker REALLY fun to play, overpoerd... dunno really.. they do hit hard.. but they are supposed to be the hardist hitters... and they do sacrifice a lot for it.
5 Warden The most... convenient PBT class out there... being a armored person that wont die quickly.
6 Bard Nice Class for mezzing, speed end regen... but no offensive capabilitys really
7 Hero Lots of HPs every 30 mins.. after that.. i wouldnt say overpowered
8 Runemaster Not overpowerd, lack of aoe CC
9 Spiritmaster Nce ppae, but thepet isnt anything to sing and dance about and pbae is a limited spell
10 Druid Dunno really, a healing class, not often considered overpowered

up to you tho i suppose

Best stat available for showing class balance is (imho) the "I remain standing" stat, which shows rp per rvr-death.

Unfortuateky I don't think the Euro XML pumps it out, and no-one seems to work out a class average even for the US servers.

The link above shows the best 25 IRS scores on merlin.

10 mids (1 rouge, 6 priests, 3 melee)

9 hibs (3 rouges, 3 priests, 2 melee, 1 caster)

6 Albs (1 rouge, 3 priests, 2 melee)

Make of that what you will, but across all servers healing classes do well, Hibs do well, and alb-casters do badly.

You don't want bleed effects on more than 1 commonly used style... Most styles that are feasible to pull for a thrust/DW infil in melee result in a... Guess? Yes, bleed! :( Now if they stacked :whip: Oh well, most of my styles suck anyhow...

Nothing funnier than watching a thrust minstrel break his own mezz with a crappy 1pt bleed left-over from a style they hit with before mezz :p

the only thing realy over powered is hib base line caster stun
and Los bug/chain snare/stun that some pets have...
sure they are allot other good clases. but they aint that over powered. only prob some some other classes in the other realms are Uderpowered.

i put it for you this way on excalibur:

every week hibernia pulls away in the RP totals

only midgard can offer a serious threat to hibs with aoe stunn+pbaoe

midgard just emerging from its PvP hibernation

albion gets worse and worse everyweek and NOTHING we can do

Albion is dying, Hibernia is overpowered, Midgard is asleep.........


in US server you can play all weekend and see maybe 1fg of albs try and breach amg...

only mids and hibs have viable RvR classes imo

friar is not a viable class?

I play on US servers too, and I think it all depends on what servers you play.

VNBoards are also proof of the fickleness displayed by players on the amercian servers. There are loads of bards that have given up since end regen went to pala's...why? because they can't get away.

Actually, I don't play my character to be listed as a top muzzillion player on duskwave, I play it to have fun.

Out of all the characters I have played, I think friar is the most fun, and possibly one of the most well balanced classes out there.

As a bard, the only time I know for a fact that I am not going to get away, is when a friar is on my tail, every other class I can escape.

I do see quicksilver on that list, and I wonder how the list would look if it had an extra column for "hours played".

When I extrapolate that list, it looks like every alb is going to become and infiltrator...

According to your theory, it's a wonder how Hibernia ever even got a population, being the "gimped" realm to start off with. As you can see from the latest patch, it's albions turn to get some loving.

a Friar is a fine class, bang it in a group with a warden, a druid and a bard and s/he will rock. unfortunately albion has none of those........

i'aint talking about the 'fun' or 'enjoyment' of playing each realm

just looking at the cold facts.......

Facts are factual, what you are doing is assuming, assumption is not factual hence cannot be recorded as fact.

Here is my assumption of what you are showing me. Say each char in the game is worth 100 RP's, at any given time there are

5 albs
3 mids
2 hibs

the total rp's available are

500
300
200

if albs kill hibs, they share 200 RP's between 5 people = 40 RP's each

if hibs kill albs they share 500 RP's between 2 people = 250 RP's each

That is a serious gap in RP's earned.

I think there are many viable RvR classes in Albion, they're specced to solo though, always have been.
