It sounds like the fluid wasn't circulating at all. Did the vendor sound like it was a common issue? Can you get to the pump while it's in operation to see if you can feel the faint vibration that indicates that it's working?

I think now it's reseated again it is pumping but it isn't working as well as it should. Not worth arguing for my money back because it doesn't work as well as the one in reviews. I'll try something else in a few weeks. Got a Lan next weekend though so no more fiddling now.

Yep. Going to. I've fancied a Noctua for a bit now

Also ordered a K95 keyboard.

they're expensiveish but really worth it imo. well made and do their job very well.
