last night the game repatched 11.8 meg patch for somw strnge reason since then all my passowrds seem invalid and cant get ito the game

i belive there was a thread before about ppl loggin onto the us patcher and screwing there game up till the changed a file someone post what i need to change plz

that is if i havent been hacked

The simple fix which is found in the above post is pasted below. that should fix it.

Check the contents of the UPDATE.DAT file in your Shrouded Isles directory. If you see something like "patch1.daoc.net:1280... patch2.daoc.net:1280" then you have been patched to the american version. Change UPDATE.DAT so it reads as follows:

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat

Then run CAMELOT.EXE again and it should re-patch to the European 1.57 version. If it doesn't, you may need to reinstall Shrouded Isles from scratch.

Play @ 6/7am in the morning (CET), connection to DAoC seems to die a lot then, had it patched at that time 3 times now :<

I've had myself patched to the USA a couple of times now...
2nd time it happened the only way I could fix the problem was to totally reinstall.

I'd change the UPDATE.DAT in SI and connect to SI...
Then it would say Blah Blah has been updated etc...
So i'd close it down and go into it again...
What do you know... it's connecting to the USA patch again (From version 1.34 for some reason).
I check the UPDATE.DAT file again and it's been changed to the USA from the EU servers again.
... I was in a loop...

Like I said if this happens to you, the only way I could sort it was to reinstall.

Wait 10 minutes and try again, when you go linkdead and it indeed patches to the US version doesn't mean your connection to GOA is back the very next second.
