Help me with my Connection

Hi im no N00bie but ive had a years abscence from the online quake 2 sceene and i re-installed my old q2 and updated the patch to v3.20. The problem is my ping is sky high +1000. I have a 56k Diamond supra external on BT openworld anytime. So far i have set my rate to 4800 and set the fps to 50. I had this problem before when i started playing a whileback and i cant remeber how i sorted it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

You'd have better luck trying the quake forums... This'll either turn into spam or sink without trace.

Thats your problem right there, using a crap ISP such as BT, what you want if something like freeserve, running on a telewest cable phone line, that is why my friend gets 48k but I get 52k.
