Film Help! I'm running out of films to watch !

Probably outside of your list of usual things to watch but it is still very interesting, and quite scary.

Still haven't seen The Raid. Tried to watch it on Netflix, but for some reason it was in Bahasa without subtitles. Which was odd.

I find most foreign language films on Netflix don't have proper subtitles, the only option I can ever find is closed caption.

I am reading about all the foreign films here and I do think I am a bit of a film buff and I tend to give anything a chance. But films I have to read get turned off right away. Maybe it is because I have something like mild dyslexia so I am slow to read anything or because I would rather be able to do two things at once and if you have to read a film I can't watch it properly or browse the web ect and you end up missing stuff.

Yeah, I tend to watch films while gaming. I do make an exception now and again (The Raid and The Raid 2 for example, both excellent films)

Stick with them. After a short time you get your eye in and you don't notice that you're reading and watching the pictures at the same time any more.

And the more films you watch subtitled the better your brain gets at doing it. I don't notice subtitles at all any more, not even slightly - but for the first few films I watched subtitled I absolutely hated it.

Aye a bad film is a bad film whether it is subtitled or not, the trick is to start with an awesome foreign film (The Raid, I Saw the Devil) then you will realise it was worth it. Stuff like The Ring is not a good film to try because it is too slow, creepy but slow and the reward isn't worth the effort for people who aren't keen on subtitled films.

Brotherhood of the Wolf (French subtitles) was a film I really enjoyed and would recommend. Saw spontaneously at the cinema a few years ago not realising it was in French. After a while I didn't notice the subtitles.

The Raid was well worth 99p for a HD rental. More action than talking so not too much reading.
