Don't think it was Gerrard who lost us the game, it was Heskey being a fuckin liability as per usual, what he was thinkin with that tackle is beyond me. You could tell the second he came on we were gonna lose.

England didn't play shit at all in the second half.

You make it sound like there's no art in defending well. And we defended magnificently.
With all the posession France had they only really threatened the goal twice during the 94 minutes. Once from Zidanes free-kick and once from Zidanes penalty.

No different to what any English fan thought at the time though. Always a choker when you play so well, and other than a couple of glaring mistakes we did play extremely well, and lose.

Should be able to come back strong against Switzerland and Croatia, so it's not all bad.
