You are in for a long long wait, Microsoft are so protective over there wireless technology, they won't let any third-party hardware supplier touch the specs with a 20ft barge poll.

I don't think there's anything to stop them using a different wireless connection, with their own receiver plugged into the 360's USB socket. I recall reading about a third party producing wireless controllers this way, though I forget the name.

Well I've got it, it's just as good as the PS2 version, albeit with much better graphics and more tracks. My only complaint is my controller, basically the whammy bar doesn't work in all positions, which is getting a bit annoying to get used to, and the lack of a button to use star-power (like the PS2 controller), as that saves time.

About half way through easy atm, 5* or perfects, but I'm just doing it for the guitar/rep and a bit of practice as I haven't been playing for a bit.

ill get this when the wireless guitar comes out, that will just make it soooo much cooler than it already is :)

Got my 2 wireless guitars last week for the PS2 version.

Not bothering with the 360 version. Played GH1 & 2 on PS2 to death and £60 is a lot of dosh for the same game.

Woolies must need their heads testing tbh.

Read on here about it being £59, walked into Woolworths to be greeted by two women at the game counter who would have looked more in place serving school dinners at a pikey school.

"Guitar what? Oh, err wait a minute."

Cue fumbling behind counter.

"Oh order only, we don't have it in...is it a game?"

There's a GAME right next door - who the fuck is going to ask them to order it when they can walk 10 metres and pick it up over the counter?

Anyway I need to get back to my audience dahlings.

Not enough stock to spread around the stores, hence order only for those who need it.

Did notice the price go up today though.

Five starred easy, with a few perfects. Now I'm on medium, and it's got a lot more difficult! Currently practising Salvation, as some of the bits of that are a bit difficult.

I watched the mrs try the first 3 sets of songs on medium yesterday (good job I had a lot of designing to do, curse her xbox hogging ways). She practiced each song 4-5 times on various speeds before doing them "live". The blue fret brought fear with a capital F apparently at first.

I had a blast and suprised myself by ripping through 10 without practising, blue fret didn't come into it that much tbh. So being a big headed wanker I unlocked Buckethead's "Jordan", fired it up on expert and proceeded to get WTFPWNED. 21% into it though hrhr :)

Great game this, although it's got us listening to shady crap like Motley Crue :$

...and I bought the Wolfmother album today, yikes.

Not my cup of tea in the slightest. Played the first one with my nephew for a bit and got very very bored. Made him put Gran Turismo 4 on instead.

Lol, it tells you in the tutorial.

Upwards, as if you are playing your guitar vertically, you can immediately return it to the normal position.

Don't have an xbox 360, but I can certainly attest to how much GH1 and GH2 wtfpwn on the ps2! I've had both games since they came out, and I still come back and play them often today! 5 Starring stuff on Expert is a great challenge! It looks like they're going from strength to strength with this too, check out their next project, "Rock Band": http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6168398.html

The company's in partnership with MTV now who've in turn given them full access to their relationship with record labels who've in turn put Harmonix (now under EA, ewwww, good for their marketing and budget though!) directly in touch with bands for this project, meaning the majority of stuff will be master tracks and perhaps even new, exclusive songs!

Its going to be pricey, but its going to be chuffing huge. Roll on it's winter release and i'll decide whether to go ps3 or xbox360!

I didn't think I would enjoy this but it's great fun taking turns with my brother who really is godlike at it. I'm quite rubbish, aced through on easy mode but I'm struggling with medium. My little finger just can't handle that blue button. My brother plays the guitar though which definitely seems to make a difference! He's getting 95%+ on every song, on expert mode. Not sure if it's got something to do with me being left handed? That's the excuse I've been using anyway. :p I'm shit at the tilt thing too, ended up smashing myself in the face with it first time and missing about eight notes in the process. I am the master of Monkey Wrench on easy mode though, I've got it down to a fucking tee.

I never played GH1 but it looks as if it has a better song list than GH2 does, that Wolfmother does indeed rock though. :)

Funnily enough, i've been playing the guitar for a year or two now and actually find that guitar hero (on harder modes) really helps, purely because its strengthening my fingers. My pinky used to be useless, but now I can hold notes easy! Arguably one of those gripmasters is what you need to really strengthen your fingers, but hell, GH is alot more fun. :p

On the last set of songs on medium now. Have been royally pissing off the mrs by ripping through medium as I said above but only got more than 3 stars once.

Her practice is paying off big time as she is regularly getting 5 stars on the first medium songs now.

BUT I HAVE UNLOCKED TEH GRIM RIPPER SO I R TEH W1N! etc

Stop by Jane's Addiction was fun to try, but nothing beats being able to play Spinal Tap songs, turn it up to 11 babeh.

So far I have unlocked about 5 of the bonus tones (from the store) - anyone recommend any of the new stuff? I have about 4k$ to spend there, the Deathlok one and Valient Thorr might get sprung next.
