Guild emblem Duplicate

Hi,

Im part of the brotherhood of dawn guild in midgard and we have a problem with our guild emblem.

The problem is that clan chaos have exactly the same emblem "surely this isnt right".

We have tried to get them to change it as we have had the same emblem since beta, and it is know as our guilds, but now there are clan chaos members running around with the same one, which makes it confusing in RvR.

I have tried asking this to rightnow (Rightnow my arse) and no matter what i enter i ALWAYS get the below errors.

'Category' requires a value.
'Subject' requires a value.
'Question' requires a value.

How am i supposed to ask a question, and is this the same for everyone?

We have asked clan chaos to change there emblem, and even offered to pay some of the fee, but they seem reluctant, and we have waited since the patch for them to change and still no sign.

If possible could someone ask rightnow for me, or even if there are any clan chaos members here, post there reason for not changing it? Surely there must be a valid reason, but we have heard nothing.

we have the same problem in albion......... but then again we look different to each other in colours and know whos in what guild but it can be confusing

im no expert on right now but to post a question you have to read another question first, then just fill out the blanks or you wouldnt get the errors, last time i used rightnow i got a reply and problem sorted within a day i think it was.
Guilds can have emblems that look close but thought there was always a difference. If they have spent 300g picking an emblem that happens to look like yours why should they change it if it costs another 300g to do it (no idea if it charges just saying) another guild has one close to ours but so what.
Minor point beta was beta not final version dosnt give you rights to force another guild to change just because an emblem looks like yours.

The emblem is not CLOSE to ours.

It is EXACTLY the same, colours and design.

And we had the emblem within a week of live.

thats the problem.

check your key chart there is that question reporting system internaly in the game for reporting things as well, forget the command was reading something on it. not the advisor one where u ask another player but the one you can report something to admins of the game.

u emailed goa?or msged kemor?i dont really know what else u can try but emailing goa or speak to the gm of that guild and work something out.

Emblem designs are supposed to be unique (ie once a guild has picked a certain combination, noone else can use it), so this seems rather weird Are you absolutly sure that it's an identical emblem? If so you'll want to get GOA on it otherwise you'll just have to live with it; I think we're up to 4-5 guilds with emblems similar to ours in Albion now

the in game reporting thing was on one of the boards, you have to make sure you pick the right options when you do it so the question goes in the right queue, I would give right now another go though since like i said they fixed my quest problem.

There IS no ingame reporting - it's been disabled by GOA in favour of NotQuiteRightNow...

My guess would be that one of the colours in their emblem is either lighter or darker than the one in yours

broken swords on excal has same emblem as B&Q but the red is a lighter version (makes their emblem look crap )

What ill do is get a screenshot of both the emblems and post links here.

that will probably help.

Maybe someone can spot the difference where we all cant.

no ones calling you a liar, its just the system is meant to be set up as one emblem of each combination, you really need to get a reply off goa not convince anyone here.

im not going to try to find the post but it was from a goa support saying about using the report system in game the right way gets results and chosing wrong option meant it took longer.

Ill look in game when im home.

The system is meant to do alot of things it doesnt

Im actually interested if anyone can spot a difference that our two guilds havent, im not saying that your all saying im lying

I have managed to log a question on Rightnow under licence and legal sub types, so i should get an answer soon.

bit of luck they can clarify it, did the other guild leader confirm the colour choices he made when he chose the emblem ?

1.48 = 1 emblem change per guild

I know because we've changed ours since about 3 other guilds all appeared with the same emblem symbol just slightly different styles of cloak to go with it.

/appeal only works in the Mythic US version where they have ACTUAL in game customer support rather than Rightnow...

Our embleme looks just like that from another guild but they have a slightly white-yellowish alternate color. We talked with each other and we got to the agreement to have also different dresscodes (if any). And so far it is going well and we never had a quarrel.

I think the Catacombs emblem viewer doesn't help here, we just changed our emblem and colours (after 5 other guilds chose the same emblem, 1 with similar colours) and to be honest it looked utter crap on the viewer. We went ahead anyway and it actually looks damn good colour wise (imo).

Guilds need to stop looking at the limited number that look good on the viewer (the safe option) and actually look at the colours in use in the realm, there are a lot more viable good colour schemes than initially looks.

Damnit BoD is unique from beta .. leder guild in beta in midgard ..
told em many times they got same guild emblem as 1 other big guild....

we of the dragon senate strived to get ours in as soon as it went live
i beleive that we were the 3/5 guild to get an emblem but we were the first with the dragon symbol

then a few weeks late i believe the chaos fellowship have the same symbol and colour combo might even be a slight change in the colour purple ..

but we tent not to worry as you dont see them as much

With more and more guilds out there, Mythic will soon need to come up with new symbols.

An simple logo builder would be nice, as the one they have but with more options, maybe...

Just found out that on the clan chaos emblem they have used crimson where as we at BoD have used red.

So there is a difference but it is not possible to see it with the naked eye.

Perhaps there should be a limit in how close the colours can be?

Just an idea.

they cant do that since it would limit the total number guilds you could have which woudlnt be fair on any new people to the game.
