After Broh and Genius agreed on taking turns on those epics earlier that day, we rallied our guild at barfog when our time had come only to see a raid party around Genius taking on epic mobs and even continued to do so after reminding them about that deal we made. They got whiped by Mordred and then even dared to ask for help afterwards...

and the other 15 people?? and besides sotl raped barfog on a regular basis anyhow, i dont c how missing 1 hunt wud of affected u that much =( as i stated b4 i dont hate your guild, i just find that sumtimes the attitude i have witnessed personally and 2nd hand is unacceptable and then i get gideon acting like a 12 year old wen i ask him serious questions about issues with the guild, it seems that he doesnt want to here anything bad about his guild, not that its all bad as ive had good experiences with your guild, alot more than bad =) but wen i have had bad experiences with u it has been very bad =(
as a leader he should address all these issues and sort them out otherwise more people will end up hating the guild as i know many do atm.

The fact that you still didn't know about that agreement just shows that someone wanted to give SoTL a bad name dispite what really happened and what has been sorted out for good with Teador long ago.

Seeing as you brought it up Tieris, let me expand on what moto posted.

At that particular time SotL were doing Barfog regularly. There is no 'booking system' and we just checked if they were up. If they were we cleared them.

Now, apparently we had 'beaten' Genius to them a few times. This resulted in Genius doing his own 'i'm a nob' impression and spewing a load of insults at us to anyone and everyone. Please note, we weren't even aware we had 'beaten' him to the epics at this point......

He was forming raid partys with the help of Teador. I got chatting with Teador (who seems much more mature) and he explained that , yes, they were starting to form raids to try and clear LB but as we formed raid much quicker and had been going about the same time then we had been clearing them before their raids were formed and ready to go.

After this chat we agreed to try and sort out that each group managed to do their LB raid without finding the zone cleared thus enabling everyone to have their fun. Entire SotL was aware of Genius's immature behaviour and I also explained that he really wasn't helping matters but that I would ensure SotL tried to make this work.

That evening, we had worked out the raid times in a very amiable manner. This even led to me insisting my own guild left Afanc up (he'd repopped whilst there) to ensure Genius/Teadors later raid got an Afanc to kill. Quite a few grumbles within my own ranks but they did as they were told (you see we were doing a favour to some guy who'd done nothing but slag us off badly).

The very next day, Brohanith and Genius chatted in the morning about raids that day. He told Brohanith that their intended raid time was about 5-5:30 pm. Brohanith therefore said we would go in about 3pm to make sure that zone had repopped by then.

3pm comes, we are formed and going into Barfog to find...... a Genius/Teador led raid happily clearing the epic mobs !!! This made me look truly bad to my own guild after insisting we leave Afanc up the previous day etc etc. At the very 1st opprtunity, Genius had screwed me/us over ! I messaged Teador who replied that he was leading the raid but that Genius hadn't mentioned anything about his chat with Brohanith ! Tempers were running very high and your raid gets wiped. This is what led to that particular SotL group giving you a hearty FU and for once I was totally in agreement.

So there you go Tieris, there's your answer on that particular episode.

I've said it before and i'll do so once again. We are a guild just like any other, as I am one of the GM's then I will take action against members if I learn of any inappropriate behaviour. I will also defend it against any unjustified rants/accusations. As with any other guild we aren't 100% angels but neither are we 100% bad. Its just that as one of Albions' more prominent guilds we get waaay more than our fair share of crap thrown at us and as Revz said, 99% of it is complete BS.

as i said not all people knew of this agreement, so u guys were just being pricks to those who didnt know! and the fact that sotl did raid barfog everyday IS and issue, what gives u the right not to rezz sum1 cos u want the mobs?? u raid there everyday so what was the big deal anyway? u obviously have very little or no common sense, to make a big deal out of it and refuse to rezz un knowing people, but i can c my arguements r falling on deaf ears and as i can c sotl cannot admit when they r wrong, 4 which u have my pity. =(

This is my point though Mattshanes.

Up to this moment in time I can honestly say i don't know of 1 single instance where SotL has screwed anyone over.

Using your example, if 30 people hate SotL then how many of them are going off what someone like MckFly/Genius have 'told them'. How many have had a falling out with 1 particular member? How many of them have been screwed over by my GUILD?

Personally, I form my own opinions about people as I meet with and interact with them in game. If I have a problem with a person then its with that particular person and not their guild.

Another example might be Ociros. He seems to enjoy taking 'generalised' potshots at us on this forum but this is the 1st I have ever heard of him. He's a Templar, does this mean I should now start thinking the Templars are a bunch of kids? Hell no, although we share different gaming philosopys, I have had some great chats with Aethelstan. Do I now think Ociros is a bit of a nob,? Well, yes, not having met him in-game I can only go off his attitude as displayed here. Can you see the distinction I am trying to make here Matt?

As I said earlier, if anyone wants to come and post how SotL, as a guild, have screwed them over then please do so. If you have no incident to post about, then try and form your own opinions instead of being spoon fed BS by a few individuals.

... would this be the 30-odd people drawn to Mckfly's thread about leaving perhaps? I suspect that the people involved in this thread are a long way from impartial.....

SotL get alot of shite thrown their way every day. They put alot of effort in early on after the retail release to gain levels which they have done very effectivley. They are now in a position where they have alot of high-level players without enough content ingame to keep them occupied, so Gideon, Pyro and Boney etc etc are doing their best to keep things fun for them by killing epic mobs, getting involved in Dragon raids and running keep raids. Other guilds are gradually catching up, but there is still a great deal of envy out there which is sadly misguided in my view.

What alot of Albs ought to remember is the number of times it has been SotL at the core of our RvR activities, responding rapidly and cooperating with large numbers of other guilds fully to achieve a common goal.

Sure, I'm a bit envious... Phoenix Legion have collectively about a million GRPs, where I expect SotL have at least 5 times as many, but do I throw my toys out of the pram and start slinging shite?

This is not aimed at anyone raising specific issues with SotL, it is just my general views about a guild which I think is unfairly bitched at alot of the time.

Can you not see the irony in my post? Does me quoting ---=== ===--- help at all? If you've not played any first person shooters (TFC, CS, Q3 etc.) the reference may be a little oblique I'll give you that.

Hopefully you understand now that someone with more patience than me has explained it all (not that we were under any obligation to as all this could have been avoided if you had spoken to Genius/Teador about it in the first place).

Lastly Matt send me a PM over these forums if you want it resolved quickly. It had no business being in this thread even as a reminder (??) and if you are half the person I think you are you should have known this.

The truth is out - and you know what i dont hate your guild - Members at all ( but in one sence once they join you its like they have to follow you in every way witch is what a guild should in some one way or another.

I think the first time i met you guys when i first joined the game AGESSSSS ago we steped off on the wrong foot as all your current members where the only people around to form tree groups an gob autos -- reasons why im so angry with you - 80% of this realm have been turned down for groups by your guild in hunts adn groups -

This stops people haveing fun im sure your guild have fun but when you all started alts you expected me to help you - comeon a level 40 in a tree group - so i say ok trying to make my peace with all your old members -

Not a thank you, and Gid i may not make sence but i try to explain myself best i can im the sort of person that if it was real life i would have sorted it out with the person not the family

But cant you see what your guild is doing is pissing alot of people off you think your it and your not your way of play effects other people and you should see what you are doing wrong get an alt - dont guild it and dont let people know who you are and see what is happening out side trust me i really cant be bothered to get at people no more i think my saying aint going to help no more.

Some times people have to admitt if they have been wrong and in a sence i have but the only way i can express my feelings to what i feel is swareing cuse it makes me feel great
