Well i'll post some bits of what he posted on guildforum, trying to stay within what's allowed here. I'm sure Starquake himself doesn't mind being quoted here either.

I take full responsibility for my actions and had no intention of bringing TM into disrepute, but was largely motivated by the ganking we was getting from radar using XXXXXXX. I can also tell you that a lot of them are, it's very obvious when you use it to spot the others using it. Ban all users of it.

No two week ban afaik, if it was, I doubt I'd be back anyway.

Not sure how people get caught / get away with it, but they knew the dates I started so it must log something somewhere. Whisked off to Castle Excalibur for a telling off I was. Should have screen shotted it lol.

I don't recommend you use it though

I left out certain bits of info, but what i do know now is that goa can detect even the best radar prog 'out there', so that restored my confidence. Without sounding like a schoolteacher: I do hope this demotivates others from using it.

Does it matter?....I have an opinion like any other........and my opinion is that given the same situation i'd not have been so hasty to fuck over a mate. The guild forum to FH transfer was some gay shit, especially in this thread.

I never heard of you either....i never heard of Ministry either (why would I.....yer players (removing starquake and tenderfoot) are recreational level RR's.....much like the guild i'm in who noone ever heard of either)...but I have heard of starquake (ie your guild #1 until recently) an i was RR5+ when he was still struggling out of RR1..........make you feel better?

Btw i didn't SAY his guildies knew he was using radar....what i said is the ppl he plays with regular knew. If you aint it then it aint you

Lets ponder a moment over the 'stabbing in the back' argument you so eloquently bring. I'll make it easy on your challenged brain and make it multiple choice:

Question: Who's the backstabber?

A: The very good player cheating (while knowing the guild's views on cheating), getting his ass banned and bringing his guild in an undesirable situation, leaving the guild without their high RR fixed group sorcerer.

B: The combined GM's of the guild being open to the community about a cheater in their guild getting caught.

Furthermore if you had bothered to actually read instead of jumping to conclusions and assuming things you might have picked up the fact he 'only' started radaring a week or 2 ago, while he was soloing 90% of the time.

And about your preference about seeing this 'quietly' go away: I can understand you would want to keep all your potential cheating realmmates a secret to the community, but that's not how we do things. Starquake knew upfront what he was risking, and he has seen it as a blessing is disguise. He hasn't hidden his actions and hasn't requested us to keep this private.

PS: Next time try getting a clue before posting crap that shows nothing but very poor education and a sense of morale that matches it. If that's too great of a challenge for you get one of your m8s to make a post for you.

Well this all explains why after a few weeks abscence, warders seemed to have gained the ability to kite me onto starquake...

Starquake always was rather a challenge to fight as a vw (most of the times I met him, he had *everything* up) - shame he got himself banned although it sounds like it was richly deserved.

I wonder how many other prominant player will vanish, naming no names but there's a couple of others GoA ought to investigate...

My post was rash (as usual the subtle one) but why have "if radar gets mentioned once yer banned from FH" rules if not to protect the individual? He got banned for his fuckup and now he is being flamed too. Seems a mod is even joining in the fun (a new thread no less). Shame an flame sounds like alot of fun but not from one of your own guildies and in any other case a bannable offense from FH. No need to make it public is all i'm saying. It seems though you still don't quite know why this thread was made.

Starquake openly admitted on the guildforum that he had been caught for radaring... he even posted it here. The information would have gotten out, one way or another. My opinion is that it's best to be open and honest about this and get it over with.

Fingoniel said it might work as a good deterrent if a caught and banned cheater that openly admitted it and told his story on FH. Don't try to catch Fing on any wrongdoings, cos that won't get you anywhere.

PS Only a moron would think this has ANYTHING to do with catching or getting cheaters banned. If i know a realm mate who is using/used radar i goto right now.......not FH. The guy came from rightnow to you an you came to FH.

No, he was scanned by GOA and caught, Rightnow didn't have much to do with it, unless someone suspected and reported him. Also i talked with the other GM's about how to handle this before i made any posting on FH.

most of the prominant radar users left, with a "goodbye DAoC, im moving to WoW" post. I wonder how long it will be till a certain mid guild "leaves for WoW" (and no, im not talking about VP)
