With packetloss stats up their jing yang.

But have things improved no.
I want a official statement that they are doing something about it.
Afterall they must buy their inet con from somewhere.

Internet problems happen. It's life. Get over it. If you find it too laggy, immerse yourself in real life for a bit and stop being such arseholes. It's not the end of the world.
If you feel you're paying for "shit" then stop paying, bugger off, stop whining.
Freaking junkies.
IMO, the connectivity has been a lot better of late. I realise that sometimes crap does happen, and there's not much GOA can probably do about it.

You try running the servers. I reckon you'd end up being like a deaf, dumb, blind AND mute taxi driver.
Sorry, but ISPs and providers take a shitload of flak when a lot of things are really out of their control. Having worked for a few ISPs you tend to understand the nature of the internet / computing trade and it tends to make you a little more patient.
Give GOA a break. I think all things considered, they do a good job most of the time. Better than some companies. So hell, they're french, they need a little leway

No, I know the company's having problems, and yes, DAOC is not a completely problem free service. I guess I object to the attitudes of people - the general response is like a bunch of adolescents throwing their toys out of the cot.
I'd have replied a bit more favourably if the bitching about GOA wasn't "Ooh a flame thread I'll fling some more half thought crap because it's cool"
But nevermind. I'll stop defending them, as you've asked. I just know what it's like to be on the recieving end of this kind of shit, so I have a little more courtesy and patience.

Well considering they have thousands of paying customers.
That is the base of their "business" and existance.
Are having lots of problems due to this, exp parties getting wiped cuz of healer/mezzer going LD in middle of pulls, etc.
This causes paying customers to loose hours of work at ie. exp death.
Due to a such a "basic" thing as the internet connection they buy.
If this was a ONE time occurance, well hey what the hell.
Things happen, a route change..
But constant packetloss the jumps just before the server itself and to the server.
And periods of 100% packetloss atleast once every 2minutes.
do an extended traceroute pref with a program that gives you statistics, and you will see what i talk about.
I think this is not right.

Well i must say only day i had any probs when i play for like +5h none stop and then i get packetloss, seems to go away with a reboot aswell.
All the other times i just get pissed when my group ld's and i am the only one standing there.
Well some times its actualy kinde funny to hear ppl complain about lag and have no problems at all.

U dont really have to enter Real Life, u just turn on your GC,XBox,Ps2,Ps,PsO,N64,GB,GBA,GBC,Amiga,Nes,Snes,whatever console u might own

i never had and never have a single lag problem.
beeing french on wanadoo backbone with 60ms on daoc servers may help
get a clue where your lag comes from. it's not because your are connecting TO goa that your problems come FROM goa.
