just logged off after yet another lag death, this time while being stupid enough to take part in the event, we found the root in mithra, laggy as usual, then when it was nearly dead i lagged so bad that i went link dead and missed the whole goddamn thing

earlier that day i'd had two lag deaths already.

then after we killed the root and went back to the plains where mr goa event wizzy said he'd be, we found him gone and then we just got aggro'd by a load of dead roman skelies, fine, i jsut sprint then, nope, too lagged for that, sprint wouldnt work, all i could do was run along with them following, when everything updated i was bloody dead AGAIN from lag!

so far tonight the constant lag on this server has lost me almost half a level! and i KNOW this isnt just me because everyone's been getting it!

SORT IT OUT!

as it is, this game is more or less unplayable. please get your act together goa, if you can't run the game in such a way that it's playable then dont run it at all. get someone who can. it's not like this is an isolated happening, laggy servers has been the case for months now on excal and prydwen get your act together ffs.

if this sounds like a general bitching then yes it is. i'm pissed off and tbh rightly so, lag this bad is NOT acceptable since it makes it impossible to play the damn game, and for LONG periods of time at that. sort it.

not "everybody" is, but there are more than enough people on the servers who are for me to be pretty damn certain that it's not just my connection or just a few people here and there...

the sick thing is that for a hell of a long time there was zero lag in this game, there were lag issues just after retail went live, for a couple of months is was very bad (which was when i did most of my crafting, xping was impossible for a long time back then due to lag making it pointless), but then after a while they sorted it perfectly, for half a year there were no lag issues at all, the game WORKED.

then just after that first patch (1.36?) it got laggy, just a bit but it was there intermittantly, but since that lag "fix" at 1.48 it's been hell for a LOT of people.

simply put, when you rent a product you can expect it to work, when a company rents out stuff to customers even a 10% failiur rate is totally unacceptable (i'm not writing this from a customer point of view, but from a business one where i know full well that if this was a "product" it would be dropped if the faliure rate was that high), goa has (lag wise) a far higher than 10% problem here, almost everyone i ever xp with has vast lag problems, the only reason i can be useful to groups is that i have powersong, frequently various members of our group in keltoi were missing entire fights due to lag, once during downtime i was chatting, then the chat's never showed up, a minuit later a ton of keltoi mob corpses just appeared nearby and the text chat updated, i realised i'd missed people stopping downtime, pulling, killing and resting all at once i wasnt the only one either, many times i'd see one of our tanks just stood there, lagged completely out

what really bothers me though is that they CAN do this game without lag... they've already shown that! recently they've been doing excellently, fast patches, when patches go live they go live SMOOTHLY, ie no download probs, we have events, all sorts, excellent, but this LAG that people are getting is just ruining it all just hope they sort it out sometime soon that's all.

Well, whenever I have lag, I use Neotrace to figure out where the problem is. Just like last night, when I had lost two fecking bubbles due to lag.

The first time I died to a grovewood because I went LD (2 red boxes)... second time I come back to pray at my grave, go LD and my "ghost" keeps wandering into the middle of a grovewood meeting - yay!

And the problem is always one of the Wannabe nodes.
It's a known issue and they just don't fecking fix it.
