heh ta CA, but imo there still is no need [yes, I've changed my mind a bit].
right now there are a couple of kids in here posting with the specific purpose of pissing us off and getting a rise out of us. it's sad, but that's the way it is. pity some of us are reacting in such a way that only serves as stimulation to them.

my advice: relax, chill and put said kids on ignore. they will go away when they no longer get any attention.

it would be nice if a supermod would clean out the shit threads a bit though.

I've done that but we do need some moderating. This is the only forum that I've come across with this much traffic that doesnt have a moderator in place. Look at the length some of these threads get to and the majority of them is full of useless crap. A tidy forum makes for a tidy thing and stuff, or something like that

We've taught ourselves this tactic for god knows how long, but no matter how much it's preached, people will always reply back. It would be nice to think that everyone could ignore the tards when they come rolling in, but with such an open board you just know it's a long, long way off a possiblity. My point was that moderation would be a much more realistic solution.

/edit - oh, and it could always be undone if the idea turns out to be bad.

yes, yes quite true. but what is going on right now is rather blatent and doesn't usually happen. they will go away again. sans doute.

the supermods are here for the really shitty stuff, which is ok really. that 'janitor' idea from once apon a time still seems good to me though. I don't know if it can be done the way we wanted though, but that's not for us to implement anyway. I council patience [and the ignore button heh].

I've always seen mods as people who are rarely around, less humourous people, so I would never see Summo as a moderator.
