Lets see shall we..what will Britain get.
A deal that represents our position as the the most important and powerful country in Europe.. because we are, by every measure...or some throwaway generic deal that some obscure country with little influence can muster.
I know what you want..I know you hate the very notion of Britain..but still reality will come home to spoil your dream.

Let's see "every measure" where the UK is the most important and powerful country in Europe then.

It will be highly subjective whatever the source (if he provides one).

Personally I like the “happiness” index as a measure of success

Ok..were Europes only Global power.
Our soft power is in a different league to any other European country.
We have the worlds most famous Royal family by a huge margin.
Our stock exchange is the centre of world trade..well its teetering due to remainers.
World time is based from Greenwich.
Our major universities are in the top ten of the world.
Our language circles the globe..its the official language for flight and the single most likely second language on the planet...the biggest problem all European languages have is fighting off the march of English through their countries and internet.

Germany has a slightly bigger economy, but in everything else..no contest.

Yeah facepalm it because you hate it.

No, it's more because most of what you posted was complete 'bolaks' and the rest doesn't have an impact on our global position.

Also because its your opinion, not evidence.

There is no opinion there.

You despise your own country so much that simple facts are abhorrant to you.
Is it guilt?
Is everything tied to any description of our position just old white people being racist?
Its worth thinking about it to yourself, why do you feel that way...would you be happier if England was an obscure country no one could point to on a map.
I say England because I know you dont feel that about Scotland and Wales ...maybe NI.

You asked me why Britain us the most important country..I explained...you call me a nationalist.
Then start bringing in obscure goalposts.
OK I also forgot to add we are the mist liberal country in Europe.
There is no one in Europe like Corbyn and our Labour party is a shining light of socialism...well its having a bit of a crisis atm..but generally.

Well.

I don't hate my own country, but this is some new right-wing mantra, that everyone who doesn't support Brexit hates their selves, so I guess there's little point arguing this.

It's a bit like the decline of the UK market is being blamed on Remainers even though all the experts are clearly saying it's the fault of Brexit.

Well that is highly subjective.
But the Scandinavians seem to be the worlds happiest people...
Us and Germany are right down the bottom..which does say a lot for the consequences of power and success.

There it is. The "why do you hate your own country so much" horseshit. Nobody on either side hates the UK, just those on one side are more realistic about how relevant it is on the world stage.

1. Yes but so what? The problem with being Europe's only global power is that our direction of travel is going the wrong way. Building two waste of time aircraft carriers won't alter that. And as the UK shoots its own economy in the brain being a global power will be one of the first things we can no longer afford. Truth is we're only a global power via historical legacy; both ourselves and the French shouldn't be permanent members of the Security Council; we are because we have nukes, but India does too and will shortly pass us both economically as well (might have already happened), plus, bazillions of people. 2. I'd definitely agree with that one, but once again Brexit is working against that. Whether its true or not, Britons are being perceived internationally as a bunch of racist xenophobic morons and our institutions as utterly incompetent. Why do you think so many media stars are coming out so hard as remainers? This shit is hurting their earning power. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...respect-its-democracy/?utm_term=.8f7acf45f178

3 Oh who fucking cares? Seriously. Versailles get's more visitors than any British tourist attraction and their Royal family has been dead for 200 years.

4. No, our stock exchange is one of three centres of world trade and has been for decades. And once again, Brexit is wiping about 10-15% off that, turning the LSE from second of the big three (after Wall St but ahead of Tokyo) to third. So well done.

5. Great, and that puts food on the table how exactly?

6. Two are, the rest are sliding down the list fast. Over 60% less attractive for European students to study in the UK and 20% less attractive for non-EU students. Brilliant. International students: ‘Brexit makes UK less attractive’

7. Its not "our" language any more. Not to say we don't benefit, but let's not delude ourselves, people don't learn English because of England. And once again, so what? Europeans all speak English, and as you're constantly rabbiting on about, technology is going render language study redundant anyway.

These are not the USPs that are going to keep the lights on after Brexit.

But youre not being realistic.

Even in the face of evidence you still want to play us down as little insignificant 'England'.
Thats quite clearly not true....by any measure except land mass.

Most of those are soft powers and in a world of mutually assured destruction are probably the most important

But I still stand by my claim.
We are by far the most recognised and globally 'important' country in Europe.

Im not bragging here, I and most people alive had fuck all to do with it, as its mostly a leftover from empire.
I prefer tooting around on my bike to doing anything constructive.

It just amazes me that there is still a guilt trip going on when at our best we can be such an amazing place.
The hilarious thing is the continental Europeans know we are the equal of them and its our own fucking liberal nihilists who are drumming up this self hate.

So Job is it safe to say that you hate Britain as it stands?

Because I quite like it, I think the people that you call 'self haters' hate the prospect of this New UK which isn't backed up with evidence, but backed up with cuckoo theories of stupid people, or people that are going to profit HUGELY from a Brexit Britain.

Yes thats it...someones going to profit..your just idiots.

Well thats all ready going on and leaving the EU wont solve the problem of a dystopian future, but at least we can act independently against the forces that are taking us there.
As was shown last week the people can pull the rug from under the establishment in a way that would never be possible once we were fully absorbed into the hive.
I will give the EU credit for the PR vote that allowed the true feelings of the people to actually get rammed home at westminster.
Which is gloriously ironic.

Straight away all the Tory contendors have gone full no deal or at least full brexit, which quickly makes a mockery of the remainers totting up votes.
Conservatives have joined brexit and that puts leave way ahead

It must be lonely being him to be honest.... he can’t have much to do during the day, evening or weekends.. he just spams here until someone reacts to his nonsense... it’s like the only attention he gets in life .... gotta feel sorry for him really...
