Thing is that even with the sale it's still often cheaper to order from Amazon or elsewhere e.g. Bad Company 2 is £20.09 in Steam's sale but £17.99 from Amazon.
Indeed, no matter how good a Steam deal looks, always check elsewhere too.
If it's a game with some sort of auth/account/cd key then you should be able to enter that into Steam after adding the game to it anyway and it'll then be as if you bought it on Steam for updates etc.
i regretted buying it. for a while lot of peeps were playing it till late on steam now its just one or two i cant take to it. not bothered with the sp side of it tho
A good little game worth looking at is "Altitude" - it's a multiplayer flying game, takes a bit to get used to it but it's great fun and highly addictive.
Got The Force Unleashed for a fiver, crap port so I understand but meh, not expensive. Left 4 Dead 2 for 6.80 is a cracking good price too, worth getting if you don't have it already. Don't get Supreme Commander 2 though, a) it's a bit crap, b) cheaper on Amazon and it registers on Steam anyway.
apb is a good laugh tbh, though i wouldnt buy it on your own, it ideal for 4 people (group max for invites), and just arse around in cars running people over etc, - i would say its got limited grinding appeal , long term fun rather than short term anything really
im prob going to sub it for a few months, then switch to the 20hoursPVP/unlimted social for a fiver gametime instead of a sub, and just play it now and then
/tangent alert
just forgot to mention - anyone wanting to get APB and on their tod, let me know, most of my regular lot are getting it and plenty of room for random kamikazes
yeah im doing the same, limiting myself to one choice from the extra off daily offer stuff so i dont go mad and end up with a mountain of games ill never get through
