It's the act itself (as in, not the actual procedure but the fact that it is being done) but also, what it represents. They're being indoctrinated into a religion before they have a chance to make up their own mind. If they get to an age and decide "no hang on I'm not sure I want to be Jewish" it's not like they can get their foreskin back. Whether you would miss yours or not isn't really the point.

There's nothing wrong with circumcision if you're the one who makes the decision to have part of your body chopped off. It's a problem however when parents are making that choice for their children based on their own beliefs, religious or otherwise.

Last I saw the production of Halal meat was permitted with a reversible stun but Kosher isnt.

In Halal the whole animal is eaten - in Kosher only the front section is used - the rest has to be sold to non-Jews.

Tbh I dont think any animal slaughter is ever going to be painless and stress free for the animal so Halal and Kosher (both of which were designed to be as kind as possible to the animal lets remember) are fine until people decide to stop eating meat altogether if that ever happens.

If someone forcibly removed my foreskin today I would be so incenced by the violation that I think I'd have no moral qualms with ending the cunts life.


Edit: Traditionally the foreskin of a child is removed by the mouth. The foreskin is cut and the rabbi puts the baby's penis in his mouth and chew-sucks it off. This is, for obvious reasons (i.e. it's difficult to remove the paedophilia association in this day and age - and with religions taking a battering it's bad PR) not often practiced nowadays.

This didn't, however, stop a rabbi giving several babies genital herpes by oral transmission through performing this ceremony, in New York, a few years back.
