thank you for answering SOS, at least you have a pair. just so you don't think anything less of me, I voted for the Dutch Social Party (I have dual nationality). sadly they lost rather spectacularly.

All of the socialists voted for him. And 99.9% of the blacks.

Yes - I saw something about that back at the time - not a healthy sign but perhaps having exercised their votes the Black vote will be more disparate next time.

The SP was a revolutionary syndicalist libertarian socialist party. It sought to end private ownership in general and combat the ruling class.
The SP wanted to abolish indirect taxation and implement a system of strongly progressive income taxes. It wanted to end child labour and night shifts and reduce the working day to eight hours. It believed that education should be free of charge.

Holy crap! Seriously? That's what you believe in?

that is about the worst condition a man can suffer from. in spite of all attempts by a small but vocal minority here in the US being homosexual still carries a stigma. I can think of no greater shame to befall family than to have a homosexual son.

I would categorize it as about on par with having a daughter marry an englishman.

shameful stuff, really.

hehe nice try, but that's the old party that ended in 1929. the new one is much worse I assure you :)

edit:
it's current values are thus (wikipedia)
The party has a democratic-socialist ideology. In its manifesto of principles it calls for a society where human dignity, equality and solidarity are most important. Its core issues are employment, social welfare and investing in public education, public safety and health care. The party opposes privatisation of public services and is critical of globalization.

Inherent homophobia.
let's break that word down shall we?

from brittanica

Homo:

Genus of the primate family Hominidae. Members of Homo are characterized by a relatively large cranium (braincase), limb structure adapted to erect posture and a two-footed gait, well-developed and fully opposable thumbs, hands capable of power and precision grips, and the ability to make precision tools. The genus includes modern humans (Homo sapiens), the extinct species Homo habilis, Homo erectus, and Homo neanderthalensis (the Neanderthals), and the early form of H. sapiens known as Cro-Magnon.

basically our genus

phobia:
pho·bi·a

 /ˈfoʊ
thinsp.png
bi
thinsp.png
ə/ Show Spelled[foh-bee-uh] Show IPA
–nouna persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it.

Use phobia in a Sentence

See images of phobia

Search phobia on the Web

Origin:
1780–90; extracted from nouns ending in -phobia

—Synonyms
aversion, hatred.

you aren't suggesting anyone really has an irrational fear of those of his species just because they consider homosexuality to be abhorrent behavior do you?

Says the guy who affectionately has given the nickname "fag" to something he puts in his mouth and sucks.

It also means a gay man over here and can also be used in an archaic sense of being tired 'fagged out' :p

But it has really changed over here in the last few decades - back when I was a child we were the same as the US in regard to inherent homophobia but this has faded off a great deal in recent decades.

I imagine the higher incidence of Christianity in the US is behind its more out-dated views on homosexuality?

More nonsense

You really ought not to rely on internet dictionaries, and instead use something that at least has a little bit of authority on the matter:

From the OED:

Fear or hatred of homosexuals and homosexuality.

1969 Time 31 Oct. 61/3 Such homophobia is based on understandable instincts among straight people, but it also involves innumerable misconceptions and oversimplifications. 1971 Gay (N.Y.) 30 Aug. 15/1 A colleague..who read a paper of mine on homophobia, did the first piece of research on homophobia that I [sc. Dr. George Weinberg] know of. 1975 Globe & Mail (Toronto) 4 Sept. 7/3 There is no such thing as the homosexual problem any more than there is a black problemthe problems are racism and homophobia. 1980 Times Lit. Suppl. 19 Dec. 1440/5 Homosexuality does indeed pose serious problems: chief among them is widespread homophobia. 1988 P. MONETTE Borrowed Time vii. 171 It would be harder and harder to be openly gay. For once we would not internalize the homophobia.

How bizarre of you - the word has a meaning not wholly derivable from its constituent parts - do you have a fear of long words?
I fear nothing, I'm fearless I do however derive great pleasure cluing in the clueless.

lol more drivel from the empty pot

the word is a compound word and the meaning should be the sum of it's parts. what fault is it of mine that you over there as well some over here are attempting to change the public image of an abhorrent condition by coining words and adding them to the lexicon in an attempt to over time gain acceptance for your depravity?

thank all that is good that at least american school kids call something that is naturally all wrong gay.

Ahh, tbh I wasn't entirely sure earlier but thanks for confirming it, you are a fucking idiot.

that sound which you hear passing closely over your pointed head is not a supersonic aircraft, but clues.

No, it's currently the sound of the White Stripes performing Seven Nation Army, altho i'm sure it'll shortly change into something else from my Spotify playlist.

lol take that you CoE people ;-)

you fear telling me who you voted for. I'm thinking it had to be Sarah Palin, because evidently you're also scared to death of anything that has to do with men.
whom I vote for, or perhaps even against is none of anyone's business, is it?

the question remains why are you all so interested in the workings of our political system?

I mean no one here gives a rip about what you do on your tiny irrelevant island chain, do we?

in fact if all of europe were to somehow majically disappear we would probably not find out about the glad news for weeks and be even less concerned.

that's how self absorbed we are and how little you matter.

Y'know. Those figures are interesting.

I'd bet my neighbour would put herself down as Christian, as would most people in the street - but I'd bet that as few as 1 in 10 would bother going to church, praying etc.

I'm guessing, but I'd say about 50% of British people aren't religious at all...

Naturally all wrong? Thats just your cultural bias - there are even homosexual animals so it must be seen as part of nature.

I'm guessing you are about wrong. I think I would place the figure at 10% of the people who claim to be people of faith to be true believers, the rest just culturally affiliated with what ever brand their parents might ahve been

Some humans, just like many animals in the natural world swap genders after taking it up the arse a few times. Normally involves a fair bit of druggery and surgery mind, but each to their own ;)
