You screaming that doesn't make it true.

Read what you quote with some thought nxt time.

My viewpoint is consistent, you just assume i mean something else.

I thought your point earlier about none of those quotes being connected was rather revealing frankly about the chaotic state of your mind.

I find your randomness amusing mostly and you have certainly annoyed some of the more straight-necked members over the years which is a plus :)

Dont take it to heart - its more refreshing than some of the opinions which can always be predicted as a kind of reflex :p

You disagree with that statement? How so?

I neither disagreed or agreed with the statement, don't try to put words in my mouth.

Have you seen the thread? The topic changes in 10 posts.

My mind isn't at all chaotic, and i'd prefer if you try to stick to one "analysis" instead of trying to throw any and all at me in hopes that something sticks.

The quotes are not mutually exclusie and they don't counteract eachother, simply due to the fact that the statement "safety over freedom" implies, if read by anyone who can process things, that it is used with common sense. Common sense DOES NOT include total control.

It's good that you find fun in something that isn't there though, so good for you.

Again another person who thinks something is happening when it's not, most liekly due to having to come up with a reason to an irrational stance. You see, i never try to win anything. I discuss things, i give my opinion and i rarely tell ANYONE that they are wrong in their own opinion.

You, on the other hand, have the child like compulsion to change my mind.

So who's playing to win? Mirror, meet Tom.

You're quite clearly mental.

Of course, you, like most on your side of the pond, believe that rights and freedoms are "granted" to you from some authority too...

We dont have any rights or freedoms except those granted by Act of Parliament which can be changed or removed at any time because we have no constitution.

Sounds bad but it has worked mostly so far...

Oooh, zing, ouchie. Did you learn to discuss things at Playground Tech?

Well, must've hit a nerve there. Good boy, run along now.

You didn't hit any nerve at all. I'm entirely unimpressed with your debating methods, which are basically "run around in endless circles until one's opponent gets bored shitless and fucks off. I win!!1"

I don't think I'm alone in thinking this, and also that your posts are usually fantastically boring.

To be fair to Toht, he's mental, but he's not completely mental. There is Dorimor for that.

I am not putting words in your mouth; I'm merely attempting to put the words that have fallen out of your mouth into some cognitive order.

Then you might want to stay on what i said, and not try to come up with things that never were said.

Like i already told you, i'm not trying to win anything and i'm not the one trying to change someones mind, or think that a discussion is about changing someones mind.

That is YOU and YOUR problem.

Stop trying to find blame in my posts for your shortcomings.

But it's always fun when a discussion ends because people don't have anything else to lean to except the old "You are like this Toht!!1".

You really should change that record and just discuss things.

It's impossible to put a finger on exactly what you say; you ambiguously leave wiggle room in every statement to consistently allow for 180 degree turnarounds. I'm on to your game but am having fun watching you chase your tail.

When did you come to the realization that you haven't got the means to fend for yourself? That you must be coddled and pampered by your nanny?

It's very simple, with no wiggle room;

I can fend for myself and i don't need pampering, with nothing proving otherwise.

Prove it if you can.

To return to your origin of problem;

Of course, you, like most on your side of the pond, believe that rights and freedoms are "granted" to you from some authority too...

Never said anything like that, never even said anything towards that subject and you're assuming things with no proof.

But hey, reading isn't your strong quite now is it.

What, like your precious invisible mystical fairy bearded bloke in the sky, whom for most of your population, exists? Your rights and freedoms also allow a majority of your population to believe that evolution is a myth.

Interesting point of view.

My Constitution acknowledges that all men are endowed with pre-existing rights that may not be encroached upon by any government. Your "rights" are granted to you by a room-full of politicians.

How nice for you...

No difference in a room full of politicians telling you what you can do from 200 years back.

Only difference is, you get outdated.

That must be why you feel safer with the careful eye of Big Brother watching your every step throughout your day.

Where did i say that? Where did i say that surveillance is good for you? Where did i say i'd prefer it?

No where, i said i wouldn't mind it, that's -not- the same as thinking it's a good idea.

So how about yu take your assuming arse home and think about it.

Actually you once had in-alienable rights but since they started allowing politicians to amend your constitution your in a position thats similar to the UK.

Do shut up ffs. I cannot believe that this thread is still going, and I also cannot believe the bollocks yanks go on about. I'm sure you must get taught it from an early age at Jealousy Classes or something.

We have a constitutional monarch. It means we dont have to vote in an all powerful individual every few years like you do, with your massively corrupt system that needs huge amounts of money to win, it means we have a person who is our head of state who was bred to do that job, who in some ways symbolises our country without ever doing anything.

Bill of rights? Has anyone ever told you about the Magna Carta? That was hundreds and hundreds of years ago mind, hell they didnt even have Mcdonalds then, can you imagine that??

Actually no, I dont expect you can ;)

The truth is, you have no more or less rights than we do, in any concievable way that can effect you in your daily lives. If you're going to start about gun rights, well thats something I quite probably know more about than you do, but thats a right at the moment, hope you're not crying in a few years when Obama gets rid of it for you. But then hey, you voted him in right, so thats ok?

You probably mistook him for the black president in 24, you so obviously confused ....

You're summing 1+1 and coming up with the letter F.

Did your constitution magic itself into being then, or was it deliberated over and written by....politicians? Politicians who saw themselves as Englishmen?

Our rights in law are governed by many things, but if you want to play "who has the biggest constitutional cock" then in England you need to look back a little further than 1776. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the political authors of your constitution created some kind of unique document, because they took many of their cues from a Bill created in this country almost 100 years earlier.

We don't have a written constitution. We don't need one. We're clever enough to figure out for ourselves what we can, and cannot do, and we're generally secure enough in the knowledge that for most Englishmen, fairness is an inborn trait. That's what comes of being raised in a country whose political establishment is generally considered to be the father of all modern democracies. You might want to consider that, when you're trying to spread "democracy" around the world.

Oh christ, we need Dorimor in this thread. He's no doubt 'owned' all these Yanks in one way or another.

You are wasting your time trying to argue with them, they aren't taught properly, its almost like North Korea the amount of bullshit that is fed to Americans throughout their education system. They think the history of world war 2 is what you see in saving private Ryan. They don't actually realise that the world bit in world war actually means the war was fought all over the world by most nations.
One or two have shown they are willing to expand their knowledge by actually listening to people but generally speaking Americans are brain washed fuckwits, they can't even get their own history right so how on earth are they going to get foreign history?

True democracy is tantamount to mob rule. The word "democracy" has been thrown around so much it has lost its meaning.

My country is a representative republic.

Sorry, I'm not biting. I'm sure there's another donkey who wouldn't mind having its hind leg bored off.

Heh, sure thing, go back to that old defense 'cause you can't discuss things through.
