Won the league last day of the season, first time i was top all season Bangura 9 in 15 after arriving from Celtic, Suarez 7 in 14 at Spurs. Sold him for £25m, bought Bangura for £5.5m. Better get some money for the summer so I can get rid of Carragher and Gerrard.

Honestly though.. I really can't be bothered fiddling with tactics much, I normally use the tactic creator and try suit my players with the roles and that's as far as it goes.. I prefer the buying and selling..

I think you just got lucky or abused a bug tbh most likely just lucky with injuries as I had a shit load with important players on my save.

Gave in and got it even though I have to put up with Steam. It was cheaper than two beers at my local so I couldn't say no (+ my collection going back to CM Italia would be incomplete).

This game pisses me off so much, honestly.. what the fuck.

It seems to be IMPOSSIBLE to keep any sort of form for more than a month...

Plus the board expect me to challenge for the Premiership as the Liverpool manager with a £2m transfer budget.. yeah.. good luck with that.. for fuck sake... near impossible unless I download a tactic from a FM forum which exploits the weaknesses of the Match Engine.

I have put over 100 hours in to this version by the way.. not saying this after playing for an hour and raging that I have been sacked..

The game has just got a lot harder since FM09 imo.

Not sure about the form but bloody hell you have to work hard at the morale. Bunch of whingy buggers I've got and whatever talk I give them at least 2 people react badly and then within 10 minutes of kick off 3-4 are either playing nervously or looking complacent. I'm sure I'll crack the new tones and stuff or get a better assistant than Hasselbank.

If you want unrealistic expectations try Forest . No money, capped out on wages, decent players contracts expiring.... Winning the League Cup (vs. Brum) garnered me the mighty sum of 100k which didn't put a dent in my monthly losses. And I know that the Brolly Dolly bought some gash but whoever rated them for SI must hate them more than I do . Still top of the leage and 22 points clear with 13 games to go. Findley is my ace in the hole - I've had to play like Owen era Liverpool but it's getting results even if the fans hate the shite I play.

Dunno about harder - there's just more. Saying that in the days of wibble-wobble there was quite a bit too, but it was more match related.

I don't mind the morale stuff, all part of being a manager. Sometimes it's ridiculous though, you have so few options that it often seems like you can't do anything at all to get a player on your side.

Steam once again being an utter cock, got back into FM for about a week or two enjoying it, only for Steam to continually keep crashing on me and won't allow me to play. Servers too busy Error Code 41 blahblah.

Even done what was asked and it's not working still.

Just tested it by starting a new season and it works fine, but when i load my previous save it crashes. Fucked off if it's corrupted my save game

I used to really love this game.. but I just can't get in to it any more.. the morale bullshit is a joke.. think I'm going to uninstall and not bother buying FM13 unless they add an option to turn all this absolute shite off.

It's not made the game any better... I miss the days when this game was fun to play :<

got back into it recently - not had any problems running it with steam - and it runs much smoother on my ancient laptop than FM11 ever did

On my work savegame at the moment I'm Fulham. 9th first season, 4th second season, 3rd third season, 2nd fourth season. Got an FA Cup and a League Cup and back to back Europa leagues. Now establishing them as a Champions League staple and going to try and push Man City for the league in my 5th season. It'll be tough.

Playing as Spurs. about 10 games to go. top, won the micky mouse cup, still in Europe and still in the FA cup. Finding it a little easy really. Going to try as a low club next I think.

spurs are one of the easiest teams on FM imo. you can make them the best team on the game in 2 seasons.

Started as FC Santa Coloma of Andorra.. fast seasons are a winner.. took me 3 hours to get through one.

Also finally made a beautiful 4-3-3 tactic, finally got the middle man to act more as a trequista then the bullhead striker.

Happy days, smashing in 4-5 goals on the regular, tempted to have a lol about as Barcelona with this.

Yeah I use 4 3 3, its devastating. Won every competition and only lost 3 games in the prem. 2 of which were after I had won the prem with 3 games to go.

Sold Bale and made the fans cry, bought Welbeck and he scored 55 goals.

Had Hazard offered to me and the board fucked the deal up so he ended up going to man city. Shat on them 3.0 in the FA cup final.

I think this is a much better version than previous years, even though it sometimes feels like someone should gently explain the offside rule to the linesman!

Going to do another season at Spurs to win the champions league then start a new game at Northampton town, personal goal of getting them in the premiership. Found a few decent kids with Spurs, a couple of which ended up in my first team at the end of the season due to injuries/resting players. What experience do people have of getting them to go to lower clubs? Even on loan would be a decent boost for the first season or two.

On current versions there is few and far between that will go far enough down to League Two (unless your Swindon/Bradford). The best bet I would hazard would be to load up alot of the weaker EU eligible nations such as Reunion, Martinique, Bermuda and so forth, they spring up some decent players on freebies that can easily cut a job.

First season as West Brom finished 5th in the Premiership with the only notable new player being Michael Owen in January. Second season, with minor changes (Ben Foster in on a permanent deal, Chris Wood starting ahead of Owen and Jermaine Jenas in for Keith Andrews) and so far I've lost 12 straight games, scored 2 goals and conceded 37. I've lost to L1 opposition in the League cup and gone out of Europe in the first Qualifying round to Maribor 6-1 on aggregate.

I don't get it. Same formation, same tactics, same players, same staff, same fan support. More recently I've tried different formations, resting players, team meetings and pretty much everything I can think of. Squad morale is generally good or very good despite our current form.

Stupid bloody game, I'm going back to WoW where at least I understand WHY I'm so crap at it!

I have completely changed my tactics and formation for my second season. I am not banging in nearly as many goals (Though I thumped Barca 3:0 and had 52% possession) but possession is up and I am conceding less. I have found some excellent youth players so if I could be arsed I could probably dominate the prem and Europe for years with little further investment.

The previous season the team was a bit rigid and when key players got injured I had to really dig around my reserves or play people out of position.
