Many years ago, a friend *cough* of mine was buying a prOn mag and was served by a young lad, as he wasn't 18, he had to call a supervisor to OK the sale, in the same way they do in Tesco if your buying booze and the checkout person is under age.
He held up the mag and shouted across the store to the manager to get the all clear, just as a queue of 3/4 people suddenly appeared behind me....i mean him (bugger!!)
Dunno what the rules are in Europe today about ID's, but its supposed to be if you got the European ID you can travel freally across Europe.Looking more into the national ID i do like the idea of being able to travel around Europe with just that and no need for a passport. So if you are like me and mostly travel around Europe, paying £30 instead of £77.50 is a good idea

i have my driving license in my wallet at all times, i dont see why anyone wouldn't, it's not exactly heavy is it
The coutries that requires passport, GB, Ireland, Cyprus.Yep yep. Any EU ID card allows you to travel across EU w/o anything else required (rent cars, book hotels, etc..)
Iiirc same goes for the countries of the Schengen treaty (Iceland, Switzerland, etc..). Am I right?
Small and functional, brits should rly consider to use them
Faf I have ID but according to their made up rules (that was actually for a drinks campaign) it's not 'the right sort' lol
Well its his own fault he was lazy. Also its worth pointing out that if you sell to someone who is underage you can get a criminal record. Happened to a guy I used to work with, they sent in a 15 year old mystery shopper and he did not ID em for booze or fags or whatever it was. He got a stupidly big fine and a criminal record....and i'm assuming he was fired cos I never saw him again after that.

Can you not go back in there with one of your 'Magnum' guns a blow the biatch's head 'clean off!!!'

I wouldnt reccomend traveling without a passport to be honest. Me and a friend went to mediamarkt when we were in barcelona to buy some cheap hair trimmer and wasnt allowed to pay with Visa card without showing a passport We had a european drivers license but was still denied purchase.
Every other store was fine with just a drivers license as id and most places didnt ask for it either.
They lost a customer and my friend had to look like a hairy beast for a few days![]()
Well, own fault really.
No ID, no service![]()
No matter who you are and how long you've shopped somewhere, no matter even if you look like an aold crow, you are obliged to show valid ID when asked.
Photo ID is a must.
If you've ever bought cigarettes or alcohol(which are the same thing), you would know that it's the case.
ID carrying is as regular as carrying your wallet(which is where it is about 100% of the time for me), so it's not like it's asking alot.
i never carry ID even when i go to clubs ect never needed it even since i was 17 xD and this whole look 25 thing is retarded get them like i need id cos u don't look 25, right... thats cos im 23??? still 5 years older than 18 u stupid little pricks
Write in and complain, the more detail the better so they can identify the pillock responsible. As a thirty year old you shouldn't be expected to carry ID with you, and whoever suggested otherwise is a prize dick.
You need an ID for so many things these days, that the UK should just put out legal IDs to people that they can carry with them, no more problems and "check him 'cause he looks 22" situations.
As it is though, it's your responsibility to prove your age.
