I had pictures of a vw campervan with trees growing in it but it was more forgotten than forgetting so I left it. Well it's more neglect than forgotten but whatever.

I picked a deliberately oblique theme to get people's creative juices flowing.

Instead, people whined, moaned and complained. Next time I'll pick something full of fail and overdoneness, like architecture or blurred flowing water.

Well people obviously thought about it. They had images. Some weren't happy that it fit with your oblique theme so they didn't enter it. I had one that didn't perfectly fit.

Seems you're happy for people to ignore the theme as long as they aren't complaining.
