Scouts dont get groups on regular basis, face it.
Your gonna solo and the only thing that keeps you alive
is stealth. With nerfs to see hidden, stealth > melee, since often
you can be out for a very long time without a sb jumping you.
See hidden btw is modified by your modified stealth. I think under no circumstances go below 48 modified.
If you want to have any chance against an assasin in melee you
better be fully buffed.
Im not sure if the old tables still apply but
50+ melee = 100-125 % damage
2/3 melee = 75 %-100 % damage
...
That means a lot, but go look it up
50 shield = brutalize, which use same end as amethyst and can be spammed even without a block. If you hit after a block, it will do pretty nice damage and stun for 10 sec. Unblocked it will do
around 100 on a sb and more on a ns ( weak to crush ).
Some scouts use this now as it do some melee damage
and is easy to use.
50 trust = the df, nice if you evade, but most enemies will have purge and it requires atleast 14+ rp to be any effective. If infils dont land df or its purged they often lose to sbs, scouts will too.
You base damage is decent for a scout tho.
29 slash = as, good on sbs, bad on ns's. Since you often will be debuffed you need a bb to have any chance. Its been many scouts favorite for a long time combined with 42 shield to have slam.
Bow i think you should aim for 45, good damage and rf 2 which is
very nice to have. Last PA with 100 % damage is only good against hibs, and with 45 you can still damage 75 %.
Atm the alb dragon can be killed by 4 fg+, so the cost for respec stone will drop a lot.
I think aussies setup with
45-46 bow
42 shield
50 modified stealth
29 slash +
is good start spec, and it has served scouts well for a long time, well atleast as well as scouts have performed.
