I don't think you would say that if you ever saw X Lord X and his friend 'Sylvester' or something trying to EV / Energy field me to death. It took them 10+ minutes to kill me, and when I died it was because I ran out of regents. Good teamplayer indeed. Those times that I played together with him he was also crap at healing, the only thing he was able to do was yelling DROP and being healed by all his blue healers

It's 2v1. If they are trying the fields thing, its purely for fun As he was certainly one of the best DUO players in the game (winning a couple of duo tourneys justifies this statement) I think they coulda had you dead way faster using other spells

Oh well... i gave up DAoC for Eve, and I must say I enjoy it.

I'm a die-hard Elite fan tho, so my opinion is biased... Yes, Eve is boring - all I do right now is mining. Find an asteroid, press a button and wait for your cargo to get full. But I'm helping to build my Corporation. It's a long-term commitment, and you're much much more dependant on a corp than you are of a DAoC guild.

Eve is far from complete, but the backbone of a great gaming experience is definitely there. And for those of you who yawns at the AFK time - how about doing trees for 12 hours straight. Might be a bit more "interactive", but pressing F8 and a few styles buttons is a lot more boring IMO...

DAoC has nothing more for me for now. Maybe in a year or so...

Two things that really piss me off in Eve.

a) Warping to a station to land 60k away from it :sleeping:

b) Not being able to ferry your inactive ships from Station to Station. I had my probe in Kisogo, and went somewhere around 18 jumps away in my Merlin. (Because i was apply for a corp) I then had to buy a ship for 20/30k and fly 18 jumps back to Kisogo, get in my probe and load all my items up and sell the 20/30k ship and then go all the way back <breaths> .

I decided yesterday when I was bored to pick up eve and give it another go. I was very pleasently surprised at the result. Now that corps are expanding and sorting out their home systems, you can really start making huge profits very fast in mining teams, without the tedious running backwards and forwards. You can rapidly get yourself into a nice cruiser fitted with all sorts of nice weaponry, and there's already a lot of inter-corp tension building up with price wars and arguments over territory. Corp wars are surely just around the corner and while 1v1 combat may not be very interesting, fleet combat is gonna kick ass

you were in the early beta or later part off it? Because they did upgrade the server in later part of beta and might even have done after launch..

Besides the rewards from having money is having a space station with your corperation and having a big and well equiped ship. Where as it is in daoc having loads of rp's and having good equipment . Dont think it is actually that different .

Yes EVE can be boring at 1st.. but once you get in a corp and start setting target's like owning Mammoth indy BP's a producing ur own Cruisers to go fight in low sec systems like in WF's screenshots it get's good.
