Disappointed. After the good reviews on this thread, I rented it out and watched it. Its trying very hard to be a technological version of Gladiator, and the lack of any emotional ties between myself and the characters on-screen was more than emphasised by the annoying and intrusive background music.

I did like the action scenes though, the gun fight at the end was pretty cool. I don't think its a Matrix ripoff, although there are influences, but I think it owes more to Demolition Man, Gladiator, and strangely enough Bladerunner.

My rating: when you're bored, watch it.
