Enormous lag on Excal, 2035 tonight

While I try to read lots on these forums I have totally missed out on that piece of information. While its nice toe hear a probable cause of the lag I cant say Im much happier until its gone. I hope 1.71 will fix Mid ToA-lag as well as lag experienced by other realms. Not talking about crap bottlenecks on the OT network since that seem to be somewhat fixed.

Well 1.71 has a whole load of server side changes in it, one of which is to reduce the server load on ToA and NF zones (by reducing the number of processes running on the server for those zones). When it goes live people should see a significant improvement in those zones, though of course the servers will still be vulnerable to "normal" types of lag (for example if 800 people decide they want to do ml 4.2 then you can pretty much be sure that the zone is going to lag... ).
