So bought it. Been space bounty hunting in some resource sites, first just in my sidewinder, and then in a Viper MK3. It's mostly upgraded to all 3A stuff now. Any advice on whether Nav beacons or RES sites are better?

How does bounties work in terms of multiple people? Is there any benefit to taking down someone solo, versus waiting for police to take shields down and then going in for a leeched kill.

A short late night sesh after a week or so of not playing. No idea where I am, but it's 18 hops to the next way-point...
Space is starting to change colour. It's not a pure black any more. I'm closer in to the core, but not by much.

Not too much progress and not a lot to report. Ooh one thing though: I've worked out what it is that is causing space to not be black any more when the conditions are right. It's because I'm way up above the galactic plane, and I'm seeing the side of the star field that is towards me. You can barely make it out in the attached pic. If that star wasn't there....maybe, but as you can tell from the planets in front of me there's another star off to my starboard which would also cause the effect to be less.

well the recent update trashed my reshade shaders so I had to do a bit of faffing. strangely the same settings, or what I believe are the same, now have a much higher performance hit -.- Anyway, I dialed back some things and am now back at an acceptable 50FPS on a 4K screen. Also the vibrancy and lens effects, bokeh et al, are now at more...normal levels
In the latter pic those bodies were so close together that I just had to snap a pic. Like 10's of megameters close. Gravity effects would never have allowed that irl imo. They'd have torn each other to bits!

So decided to give this a go again after a long break.
Thought I'd try the community goal and ship some stuffs to those in need. Bought myself a shiny new Federal Dropship and kitted it out for hauling. I'm a long way from the target so make sure i've got a fuel scoop. Two hours later I'm in the middle of fucking nowhere surrounded by Brown Dwarfs with 3LY of fuel and the nearest star is 5.5LY away.
