Fuck them all tbh. They all know who he is, they all backed him, all sang his praises when asked, were all happy to drink from the public teat when it suited them.

None of them are doing this out of some sense of moral outrage. They're doing it for personal gain.

He is stepping down as the leader of the party and will continue as PM until autumn when a new leader is elected from what I am reading.

Interestingly though - the Tory voters will now be able to see what a giant twat Johnson has always been but they'll now be able to ensure they can remain willfully blind to the corruption across huge swathes of the Tory party because "bad man" has gone.

This means Tory voters can continue to remain blameless as we accellerate our race to the bottom in environmental, social and welfare legislation, continue to remove our right to peaceful protest and greenwash our way into our increasingly dystopian future.

Tory voters can now continue to vote Tory with a clear conscience. As they always do.

Remember: This is Corbyn's fault.

At least we might get a less corrupt liar. But we could get the same and if Jeremy Hunt wins I'm leaving the country.

Honestly, say what you like about Gove but he's probably the most competent of the current Johnson lot. Liz Truss et al - forget it. Total shit. Braverman is monumentally stupid. Of course a new leader/PM might care to bring back all the people Johnson booted out when he became leader so we might at least begin to see some kind of competent, if still uncaring and profit-driven government.
