Just wanted to mention that Microsoft banned 1 million consoles recently because they were modified, I'd hardly consider that an irrelevant number when it comes to piracy.
Another point to make regarding PC sales is that the reason they are usually lower is not entirerly piracys fault but bad ports(I mean MW is a perfect example, it still has error messages telling you to login on XBox live on the PC version). A good example however of a PC game that outsold the console versions: Dragon Age, why? it's a really good game that's tailored for the platform it's released on.
