Wouldn't work for me, for a start they'd never find my house and I work about 50 hours a week with about 10 hours a week commuting and starting at various times of the day so I never know when I'm home. Its a shit life but its my life.

As far as I know he needs your account number and sort code

Best to phone your bank and ask what to do. They will guide you through it, but really, BACS payments only require Account number and Sort code. It helps if you tell him the name of the account holder, and the name/address of the bank, just for backup.

I'm considering selling some stuff on ebay, but there's just one question i was wondering.

I don't suppose there's an answer to this, but anyway...

When you deposit cheques in a bank account, is there any way to do it so that you can identify whose is which cheques they are on your bank statement, like a reference name/number or something?

For example, you get two cheques of the same value, and you want to know whose cheque has cleared?

All cheques are numbered, see on the cheque counterfoil which you keep as part of your cheque book, the same number should appear on your bank statement or online, it does on barclays anyhow.

I'm not talking about my cheques that I write out, I'm talking about cheques that I receive from other people.

Normally, a cheque paid into my account only shows up as 'Cheque credit'.

When you pay them in, on the back of the paying in sheet you can keep a record of each cheque, by giving each a name. I suppose the only way you can tell which one has cleared, is by ringing the branch and asking them.

Here's my first attempt at bulk selling: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3348776638 and I think its going to land on its arse and not sell at all. It so harsh, if you advertise your video in two sections, it doubles ALL the costs. So I advertise in bulk lots and cartoons, and they charge me twice for every photo and twice for bold and so on :(

I'm also about to sell a satanic robe (don't ask), and I can't even begin to think how to go about pitching that one (although the word Goth might surface).

Heh, I got that video in a bulk lot off an extremely old lady, which amused me, especially as all the other videos were children's cartoons. The cartoons all sold, but this is the second time of auctionning it, if it doesn't sell this time the women in the charity shop can cluck over it.

In all honestly, its crap and tame. The only way I can imagine it actually got an 18 is if right at the very end someone yells **** repeatedly while stabbing someone, because before that you don't even see bare boobs.

Tom, where did you get your photo for 24 Series 2 dvd from ? did you make it yourself, if so I 've always wondered how you can make the item appear perfectly on a white background, when I do it I can crop the photo in straight lines but not at angles...thanks

I'd have thought you can get in trouble for that, false advertising and all.
Could be wrong though.

Can be done with a big roll of white paper propped up on a desk near a wall, and a 'nice' camera, with a bit of lighting.

Then again, why bother, much less hassle to nick a pic :D

The section between the four *s only appeared when I highlighted the text. It looks like either some sort of code or some weirdo's message to a friend.
But the rest is all bollocks, it arrived under the tittle of urgent message for all Ebay users so its saying that everyone who is using Ebay has account problems.
