E-baying

Yeah I know its a scam, and a very bad one too, you'd have to be really dumb to fall for it. I had one not long ago that was a little more convincing, it had the Ebay logo which made me wonder but Ebay would never send an e-mail requesting your details.

Its the weird stuff at the bottom that gets me.

I paid about £2.50ish for a White Stripes' one-sided 7" promo, it's on eil.com for £85 so I've decided to cash in.. 9 days left and it's at £8.50 so far.. I've not sold on Ebay before so hopefully all will be well

IMO, people don't tend to bid much until 1dayish left.

Lol, cheeky bastard!

Is it wise to irritate a woman who sells my little ponies and satanic robes at the same time? :)

Both I reckon.

Either way, if the seller doesn't cancel the bid or file a non-paying bidder report to refund his fees he's in for one huge fucking surprise on his next eBay fee statement.

Was working on a corporate video for Ebay (US) the other day. This lady up in Newcastle sells fine china and antiques on Ebay UK. She scours the local car boot sales, pays £3-£5 average per item, and makes as much as £100.

She has about 1600 positive feedbacks, she is an expert on the kind of stuff she sells. She says she is going to give up work soon and do Ebay full time.

Bloody hell.

*Goes to nearest car boot sale*

Tis very easy to make money on eBay if you jknow where to look.

I've just bought a couple of items for about £12 shipped to the UK each. These will be brand new and sealed.

Price they go for on average on fleabay? £40.

Also have a back order of 3 other items for £31 each shipped (no customs) to the UK.

I fully expect each one to go for over £100 each.

Well this lady worked mainly by buying things that were unlikely to be bought by young people. Her reasoning was that most of the pottery she sold was bought by older people, who weren't necessarily computer literate, but liked to collect certain things. She just knew what to buy. If she didn't make a sale on a particular item, she would just open a stall on a car boot and flog it all for what she paid.

Most of my sales involve Import games or special edition DVDs.

When you are setting up your auction you have the option of putting some after auction info. Put in that You will leave Feedback for them once they have left feedback for you. I found that I was getting more feedback as a result

I saw in the paper yesterday that someone was selling an air guitar. Some Russian bloke had bid £250 for it.

This is officially the most successful thread I've started.

I'm giving it a rest for a while so I can keep my computer on Staz's broadband and have fun playing online with a decent ping.
