It's called sniping Gray, and is an automated thing. You sign up to websites which do it for you. Unfortunatly some websites purporting to do this are actually now just gathering usernames and passwords, (obviously they need those details to place a bid for you), these details are then used to hijack your account and sell plasma tv's that don't exist to unsuspecting idiots.

The thing to do with any auction is decide how much is the top whack that you are willing to pay, and then bid that much. Let ebays automatic bid raising thingamajig then raise your bids for you.

I had one of those, but mine came with a monitor and a few more parts. I threw it away because the postage costs would be stupid, it would have weighed about 40KG packaged up.

Hey Tom - I'm bidding on 3 Amiga's as we speak!! Yes they are worth it!

But is it really worth the hassle of selling it for the money? For £6, I'd just chuck it in the bin!

Mind you, I had some good fun on my Amiga!

You'd be better off bidding on 'The 3 Amigos' tbh, more fun.

The white Jiffy Bag I received from Blunteh did not have "POST PAK" written
on it, unlike yours which,
according your last email, you said was 'a white Jiffy Bag which has "POST
PAK" written all over it'.

Furthermore, the mouse from Blunteh was, as expected, a Microsoft
IntelliMouse Explorer mouse v1, NOT v3.

As mentioned in my last email to you on Wednesday 13th of August, I have not
yet received this item
and up till now, this has still not been supplied to me by you. I would,
therefore, expect you to either
supply this item immediately or make an immediate refund of the money I paid
to you.

If neither of this is done within the next few days, this case would be
referred to eBay as a case of fraud
with all the consequences that brings. It has never been my desire to go to
this length, but there is a principle
at stake. I also believe that your integrity as a honest eBay seller is also
at stake.

This case MUST be resolved immediately, please.

I look forward to hearing from you immediately.

Regards,
Bode

*sigh*

Like fuck is he getting a refund. Twat :/

Report him to eBay first. He's basically threatening you (and your reputation).

You're going to get a neg out of this for sure, but you will get to respond.

First tho, it might be worth posting in the eBay Q&A forums to get the opinion/advice of the people in there. They are *very* good at sniffing out bad 'uns, and as an added bonus, you can point the buyer to the thread (if it's in your favour of course!).

So what, Ebay are going to send the heavies round? It's all just empty threats. Let them know your side of the story, then forget about it. He's just a silly cunt, ignore him.

I just sold a load of stuff on ebay that I'd had for two years (not used admittedly), and it ALL went for more than the price I originally paid for it.

Marvellous :D

As a soon to be new seller on e-bay (I've bought a couple of items only), this is just a "thank you" to all you peeps setting my mind at rest (admittedly without your knowledge) on a whole number of matters.

Cheers :)

That sucks.

Does anybody ahve any tips on P&P costs. I'm weighing the item and working it out on the post office web site but when I take it to the post office it always seems more, I've lost quite a bit of money this way. I've also started weighing it working out the price then adding a couple of quid but still it costs more. Are the post office not updating their site and swindling me coz if they are I'm off to court.

Ive been selling on eBay for over 3 years now and my advice would be to look at an alternative to Royal Mail if you can. I use a company called citylink.

You can get an account with them really easy, but I am a LTD company. Even if you are only sending one or two items there prices are a lot better than Royal Mail.

Royal Mail. £18.00 to ship a Complete PC Base Unit. Stand in line fill in the form, blah blah blah. 5 day shipping at best

City Link £12.00. They pick up from my home the day I specify. I sit on my ass till the door bell rings. They deliver the next day before 5.30.

I am now the king of no stress because I have an account with them pay at the end f the month and can book online. You dont even need to be abusiness to have an account

Their pricing structure is a really easy once your account is opened.

one to avoid is a company called Postvan.com In principal they are great for a small business like me but they fucked up collecting a parcel on 5 consecutive days. Still waiting for a refund 2 months later
