The server had to go at some point, and I can understand from a Goa's point of view alot of the solutions mentioned to the pop problem are just not viable due to cost, manpower, contractual, contraints etc. That's fine, they are running a business not a charity.

However, what sticks in my craw is the whole head-in-sand, careface, 'talk to the hand' attitude treating long term players on the server like idiots. Acting like there is no problem, and hoping it will go away (or at least their customers will and stop complaining).

If they simply acknowledged the problem and admitted there is not so much they can do, be better to my mind than this. Sure they are *some* low-cost, manpower-lit, solutions to mitigate the situation if they cba to explore them. Just at random, get some customer support for the english players who've moved to german servers (some translations/walk thrus from GoA on ur website, hello? you translated it one-way already), get rid of 2fg+ requirement for relic raids on dyvet so at least the players staying there can have some meaningful endgame, cap keeps and towers at lvl 3.

'Community management' my arse, Goa are to DAoC community management what Harold Shipman is to Help The Aged.

Dyvet is dead and in my opinion so is DAoC.

When you get to play a nice modern game you realize how antique DAoC is. Am quite amused about the Mythic folks trying to sell some Warhammer features like news too. But I guess some Elves with long swords will do it.

I have played pretty much every MMO out there and just recently went back to daoc instead of WoW/L2/EvE etc

Daoc still have the best PvP system.

But hey I am in the beta so I know what´s going on compared to alot of other doomsayers :kissit:

And i have to say, RvR on Teamir is simply amazing, kinda like Dyvet was in it's prime, usually there are like 10 groups or so signed up for the fg zone and it's the same no add policy etc etc.
Also theres as on any high populated server lots of zerging and sieging going on aswell.
I'm atleast having a blast again in daoc, something that i havent had for a long time.
