i thought there was way too much walking about in crysis and then could never stop my self sniping from the distance. the 2nd one crysis warhead was much more action packed and fun

You can forgive the graphics and humour to a certain extend, but I would be playing it, killing things with guns and thinking I think I am enjoying this, then BAM I would be shrunk for a horrible platform section or stuck on a turret or in a driving section. The actual shooting bits were fine in DNF it was everything else that was bad, oh and the boss battles were terrible, If the game played like the intro in the American Football stadium, it wouldn't be half bad. Now Crysis is a game I love to mess around in. The pre-alien bits of the game are well done and give you great scope to approach things from different angles.

Duke Nukem without tons and tons of cheesy humor wouldn't be Duke Nukem, which is part of the problem with this game everything else aside. It doesn't have enough of it.

Same with Serious Sam, without it's humor it would just be another generic FPS cash cow...

We didn't need another Call of Duty, ARMA or Modern Warfare (which is what DN:F partially tried to be), we needed something that made fun of those "serious brosef" games....

We wanted a Duke Nukem game but we got something that didn't know what it wanted to be.

Most of the humour was fine and suited Duke, but alot of it was out of date, or didn't make much sense. The Valve section comes to mind.

I have a lot of respect for Randy Pitchford, yet he is off his mind, if he believes that. I think at some point it did have pacing similar to HL, but that isn't the game that was released.
