The problem is that gaming itself has moved on; is there a market for that kind of FPS any more?
Given how playable Borderlands was, I think they'll make this work. The trailer made me laugh. The only problem they have with people like me will be the price, I tend not to be bothered with picking things up at release. Case in point I picked up Batman AA over Christmas for under a fiver.

Keep your eyes on savygamer and find-games.co.uk. I managed to pre-order Batman AA for £16 so you can often snag a bargain without having to wait for ages after it's out.

wouldn't care if its the worst game in history it will be an insta-buy without question

Roll on a world of mediocrity ;)

Trailer made me laugh. If the game does it often enough and with enough originality whilst actually being compelling then win. If not then fail. Simples.

:eek2:

/cuts own cock off for shocking and shameful meerkat reference

If a new serious sam came out tomorrow, I'd pay 40 quid for it no worries. Im hoping DNF will be similarly fun.

Serious Sam was the shit, multiplayer especially, dominating Red Station with my cannon was mint.
