shouldn't be too hard, people think DAoC is like what it used to be.

No fair fights .. so unless you wanna run 8 man or try duo 2v3 your waisting your time
Everyone adds on each other .. without question
Spend 5mins on a boat to get zerged down by adds
Too much procs on equipment and stuff now
TG vest for SB/inf etc cost 200p and hard to compete without them due to uber procs

The best RVR is in thid imo

On visible, I managed to solo about 230 000, in one day, I'd say about 100k came from 1vs1, mostly, and some 1(me)vs2-3. THis is Laby ofc, buff up, port away, find fights/people, fight and then win, or die, and then /rel back to buffbots and cure ressillness, and away again within 45 seconds.

I'd guess you left (if it's dyvet you thinking of), because of most others, low population?
Low pop ain't an issue on Ywain.

I think DAoC is fine, I knew new frontiers don't compare to the old ones but to be realistic they will be quite ideal for a super cluster like Ywain. Could you imaging that many people in old Emain?

Only thing I dislike about modern DAoC is some of the newer classes like Vamp's, they are well cheesey. I also dislike how certain armor types are essential for RvR, stuff like SI and Legion raids became obsolete a long time ago. I think maybe a balancing on more item based stuff to maybe spread the population of certain areas in realms out.

Since I started on ywain a few weeks back I've quite enjoyed it. Good blast from the past and being English I am usually playing during daytimes which means the server and RvR is not over populated.

tbh 8v8 died years ago and if im honest good cos all it did was encourage elitist pricks to think they owned the server and thats what ended up killing the server. people sick of not been able to rvr because of theabuse they would recieve for simply playing the game the way it was intended. and god damn grp setups that excluded them.

its called Realm v Realm mass fights were always encouraged by the game model keep takes relic raids etc?

The "good" or "want to be good" groups go agramon. The PUGS roam HW/emain etc.. they are the ones killing it really.

Ive also seen recently how each realm just camps its own bridges in odins/hw/emain.

I run on sb to bryna bridge and see 1fg of mid soloers...
run to hadrians bridge and see 1fg of alb soloers + rr7+ mos5 scouts...

its really unmotivating to go back

ywain population is/has changed by force the way the game has to be played, you can get a few groups to goto agra to 8v8 I guess if you want but the rest is just going to be organized zerging + adding on any fight that happens..... get the bomb groups out go cut port to a major keep and sit in there with 4-5 pbaoers ¬_¬ most people are too dumb to treb towers down.

4-5 stormlord pbaoers = fucked zerg.
